You believe people with low risk of dying from Covid should get vaxed to make you feel better?
Heart damage from vaccine will kill more kids in next 5 years than Covid, but they should get vaxed to make you feel better?
Look at worldwide numbers, the vax is not even slowing down the spread. The vaxed are contracting Covid at same rate as the non vaxed.
I have zero proof of this.

This is a lie. You know it. And you're saying it because of politics.
Uh...no....I'm saying it because it has been demonstrated that "natural immunity" does mot protect from infection from varients.

You believe they do, but you believing something does not make it real. There have been too many people getting covid two and three times to take your belief here seriously.

With Omicron it does seem that the vaccinated are contracting the virus along the same rate as the unvaccinated. The difference is the vaccinated are not experiencing serious illness and dying. For the most part the vaccinated (thus far) have experienced mild, if any, symptoms while the unvaccinated (to include those with "natural immunity") are suffering marked illnesses, being hospitalized, and dying.

So while the vaccines are not as effective against the Omicron varient as they were against the other varients in terms of preventing infection, they remain effective in preventing serious illness.

We'll see how you guys do in this now looming Omicron outbreak.
LOL. I think we'll do just fine.

Among these cases of COVID-19 attributed to the Omicron variant, 34 (79%) occurred in persons who completed the primary series of an FDA-authorized or approved COVID-19 vaccine ≥14 days before symptom onset or receipt of a positive SARS-CoV-2 test result

SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529 (Omicron) Variant — United States...

No. I agree this supports Trumps position, and I did vote for him, but I have mot followed politics for awhile.

I am saying that the vaccinated are protected against serious illness while the unvaccinated are not because studies have proven this true. I am saying "natural immunity" provides little protection because people have been infected several times, with latter infections worse than previous infections.

All I know is he told me that info and he told me he did not care what I shared. I can't remember if it was on a thread. You are welcome to search for the info. Or just ask him if it is false. Don't expect me to do your homework.
I really don’t give a rip. I only threw it out because of your past accusations of gossiping which really smacked of desperation, immaturity, & moderator power flex. Cheers.

So you are gossiping.
Pro tip: Put in in my file now, save yourself wasted time later. Hahahaha. You could use this response as me admitting to gossiping, but I’m not. It becomes harder to win playing the same hand when everyone has seen how you play your cards. Mind games make trust hard to come by. Mega cheers.

Nah. I know you are a gossip. It does not bother me. You'll probably grow grow of it.

Nobody dies from being infected. They die from the disease. I only know of the patient in the UK that died from covid disease brought on by the omicron varient.

No. One death due to omicron and more hospitalized. Just like with the Delta varient it will take time to know if this varient is more deadly. The last I heard (walking by a TV playing Fox News in the cafeteria) it seems to be mild among the vaccinated but severe among the unvaccinated. I don't know how covid survivors were counted in that report.

Jon, you are sounding more & more democratic/liberal/progressive/yada, yada, yada, with virtually every post you make concerning this vax!:rolleyes:
And, NO, I'm not going to cite examples - as you said above - "Don't expect me to do your homework."!!!

It is if he told you that privately. If it was on this forum….,perhaps you could direct us to the post, since you have mad skills amassing those type of posts, being a moderator & all.
As usual, his memory is half accurate.
I have never been pro vax, even when Trump was Prez. I thought he was messing up fast tracking the vax
I contemplated taking the J&J vax.
I decided against it for multiple fold reasons. 1. I had already had Covid. 2. The rebel in me is opposed to any mandate. 3. The pro MRNA crowd threw so much shade on the JJ, I figured it would fail a risk vs reward analysis for me.
JonC is good at telling part of the story.

As my statements are the GOP position that is a bit strange. I am not a Republican or a Democrat, but for the life of me I do not understand why repeating Trump on the vaccine makes me sound like a Democrat or a liberal.

Perhaps you need to have your ears checked?

What I said is the vaccines are safe and effective (repeating what Trump said in August).

Other than that, I said people need to decide for themselves whether to get a shot (here Trump said everybody should be vaccinated).

Simply stating science is not political. These studies are there.
