Yes, I read about it and have been following the story for a long time. There was no evidence against him.

As for the press thing, I don't know. McCarrick drew a lot of attention. But when you have 14 different states going through the motions of an investigation, it attracts attention. I don't believe that anything is going to change in the RCC because the Pope has to allow changes. This Pope hangs out with Soros, Sachs, Sanders, Ban Ti-Moon, and Bono. He controls the College of Cardinals because no one over 80 can vote again and he has appointed the majority--guys like him.

There's something going on in the bank that got Pell in trouble and helped force Benedict out. People such as Michael Voris say that The Vatican is controlled by gays.

A reformed gay himself, Voris speaks truth to power.

I don’t really care to punish... I’d leave that to the lord to throw them in the endless lake of fire.... no I’m about ridding the world of predictors that prey on children.
The truth is though that all posting here deserved to be sitting right next to them in final judgement until the grace of our Savior saved us!

Until then I’d have a rope and milestone permanently attached to their necks to make ready. I like to be prepared... ya never know the date & time of His return

Let me tell you about the Baptist minister here in Florida. A married man with children, the pillar of that particular Baptist church, was arrested in a sting by law enforcement as he arrived to meet the 12 year old boy with whom he was communicating on the internet for a little male "bonding" last year. Nice, huh?

Such stories abound in this country, Baptist ministers molesting not only little boys, but little girls as well and we cannot forget about their other sinful acts with adults of both sex's either. But oh, I guess they can all be excused and forgotten because it's only the Catholic clergymen and their sinful deeds that need to be shouted from the rooftops, right my friend?

"Corruptio optimi pessima."

There is something important to observe in this discussion. The Protestants in here ignoring their own scandals and instead focusing on the scandals in the Church is because they implicitly know the essence of the Church is holy. Their own sects make no such claims of being essentially holy because their ecclesiology is flawed. However, the reason the problems within the Catholic Church are so scandalous is precisely because they implicitly recognize the holiness of the Catholic Church. Any actions against her essence are thus rightfully horrific and scandalous.

The reason the scandals in their own sects are not horrifying is because their sects are nothing more than religious Elks Clubs.

Did you get a chance to see the EWTN broadcast of Good Friday services from the Washington Basilica with Monseigneur Rossi?

So what is the essential function of the Roman Catholic Church then? I have some thoughts build love to see you elaborate.

No, I did not. What did I miss?

Well, the bad news is that Michael Voris thinks that EWTN is a train wreck in slow motion. Walpole, I am an outsider on this stuff so you tell me if Voris is right or wrong. He talks for 5 minutes. Apparently EWTN withdrew their link to Rossi on Good Friday after much criticism in social media. I don't know--I am an outsider but my RCC friends here in this area are Latin Mass, just sayin'

I'm sorry but I'm just not following. You asked if I was able to watch Good Friday services from the Washington Basilica with Monsignor Rossi.

What exactly did I miss that happened during the service?

Oh, it was just a routine service but the uproar was over Rossi and EWTN had to withdraw their link to the service. Voris thinks that Rossi should not be allowed to appear on EWTN but since the death of Mother Angelica, EWTN is controlled by the Bishops, whom she denounced. What do you think about what Voris said?

To bring men into communion with God through Jesus Christ and thence into the Kingdom of God.
The Holy Spirit does that and provides grace. It also provides the individual a conscience. Jesus provides the salvation and the Father provides the Full program. So your church sorry to say is redundant.

I have no idea who Voris is so I can't comment. I do, however, have familiarity with EWTN and one of the things that makes it unique is its board of trustees is comprised of lay people. It is out of the hands of the bishops, much to their chagrin.

Michael Voris is founder and CEO of Church Militant, a small think-tank journalist organization in the Detroit area. His point is that the funding for EWTN is controlled by the Bishops. He has been around a number of years but I am not sure how long--perhaps a decade or more.

Which bishop(s) controls EWTN?

Do EWTN's chairman and the board of trustees know that there are bishops controlling them?

How exactly do they control EWTN without being on the board?

If they have control, why can't they get EWTN programming from criticizing them so much?

Redundant? The Church is the instrument ordained by Christ. The Church is an extension of His incarnation.

Extension: Something that can be extended or that extends to another object
Extended: Continued or prolonged

"A man’s body is all one, though it has a number of different organs; and all this multitude of organs goes to make up one body; so it is with Christ. We too, all of us, have been baptized into a single body by the power of a single Spirit, Jews and Greeks, slaves and free men alike; we have all been given drink at a single source, the one Spirit. The body, after all, consists not of one organ but of many...And you are Christ’s body, organs of it depending upon each other..." (1 Cor 12:12-30)

Christ had a body while on earth which He used to teach and sanctify. The Church is now an extension of His body, which is instructed to teach and sanctify. (cf. Mt. 26:26, Mt. 28:20)

The Church is the body of Christ and thus it is a divine institution. If the Church is not a divine institution, it is nothing more than a religious Elks Club.

Then the pope is the Grand Poubah of a dysfunctional club who’s time has passed.

Rome teaches another and false Gospel message!

We definitely teach a different Gospel from Protestantism, there is no question about that. Thankfully though, there is a movement within Protestantism to reject the gospel of the progenitors of Protestantism and return to the Gospel heralded by St. Paul, which is the Gospel taught and safeguarded by the Catholic Church.

Google ---> N.T. Wright and the New Perspective on Paul

There is hope that more and more Protestants will abandon their "theological novum" and embrace the true Gospel and Pauline justification.

They are the source of money so that is better than being on the board. I don't watch EWTN as I cut the cable a year ago. Why would they put a homosexual predator in and then cut the link?
