    Good morning all,

Jim: I'm sorry about Daisy. When I lost "Lady" (the best dog I've ever had) I decided not to get another one. I may change my mind, but it's been over 10 years and I haven't changed it yet.

Rob and Ann: Will you two just stay in a recliner for a couple of days so nothing else happens until you get healed up from your previous ills???

Cindi: Take care of your family and give the teachers a "New Year's" Gift.

I finally figured out how to post pictures on here, so I am going to post three of them! LOL

This is our Nativity Scene up close.

Can you tell I love Christmas lights??? We light up the whole block!!!

    HAGD!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Sue: So nothing else happens? :saint: As I read the above quote I looked at my recliner, and it just won't do for two, besides I'm sure Ann's DH would object. ROFL!!! How about if I stay in mine in MI, and Ann stays put in hers on Long Island?

Ann: I hope your doc told you to take it easy until the results come in. Not surprisingly these type of injuries are common among people who ride roller coasters. So just think of your horse as a roller coaster with four legs and a mind of it's own. Please Ann - You are too important to too many people to risk your health with the potential of this injury. I know it's hard for a busy person to take it easy, but it really is in your best interest. Remember someone needs to be with you if you're alone in the house. Maybe I'm a worry-wart, but if all this is for nothing...you can chew me out to your delight, and I'll take it with a smile.

Jim: You and your Wife in in my prayers. Our pets are more like family to us, and the longer they are with us the deeper their pawprints are on our hearts.

I have a lunch appointment at 11am today with my Pastor, to try and understand his position on physical & emotional illnesses resulting from a lack of faith. The lunch is in his favorite restaurant[a neutral place-I suggested it, and he didn't decline. The meal is on me - he is my guest.], and I hope I can get a better insight into his position on this matter. Please pray for both of us as we try to understand each other, and hopefully come to an understanding that honors Jesus.

I brought in Pineapple-Almond Coffeecake, Potato and Pork Frittata, and Blueberry-Walnut Coffee Cake with hot, fresh-brewed coffee, tea is ready, and smoothies are made. Enjoy.

I'll check in after the lunch-appointment.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Too late Sue! I already got the first half dozen teacher gifts finished and sent so I can't stop now! I finally decided I just needed to get over myself and get to work. Once I did it was quick work. I never even set up the second sewing machine and that would have speeded up the process quite a bit.

I'm off to look for some more embroidery patterns to use on the next 4 I need to embroidery. I think it's 4. Oh well, I'll figure it out when I get started. I like the patterns I've used so far, but, I only need four more and everyone will have their own design. :D

Oldest two get out half a day today. I'm gonna be mean and make them do the noon karate class with me. We are seriously behind because the stomach virus and funeral and today and tomorrow and the only class days left before the new year.

    See ya'll later!

LOL - you guys are goofy!! I don't have a lot to do since I did finish all of my shopping but I DO have to make up batches of jam this week - I'll wait until someone is home to help me, though. I'm feeling pretty good but still have a slight headache and no appetite. I am going to have a soft-boiled egg and some toast in a bit - atleast a bit of protein to start the day. I'm going to call the doctor this afternoon to see if they can get the results for me so atleast I know what's going on in this skull of mine.

So, today is the never ending homeschooling and laundry. I also need to clean the kitchen since it got a bit messy and I'm going to try to wrap some of the girls' gifts (and I'll wrap the littles' gifts after they go to bed tonight).

I'll update when I hear from the doctor today - I'm anxious to know the results!

Nice lighting Lady Sue. I gather, you must have worked on it for quite a while. But the results are great!

Here is a pic from our neighborhood. In the Big Apple, we do everything BIG you know..... :)

Well, all's clear! So I guess my stupidness can't be blamed on anyone but ME! LOL!! I'm glad all is fine but I'm honestly surprised. It DID, however, show a thickening of the left sinus under my eye - good! He said it shows a chronic condition - which the ENT that I went to last fall said that nothing was wrong. Thbbbbbb!!! So, atleast I have proof that my sinus is messed up!! But, too bad that can't make you lose your mind. ;)

Thank you, Barnabas! It does take hubby quite awhile to get the lights up on the high-pitched eaves, but it's worth it. Your pic is prettier than mine though. :love2:

Ann: Are you saying you WANT to lose your mind?

Nah, I just want an organic explanation for why I was beyond dumb yesterday!! I made some glaring mistakes in memory and DH got really nervous. Doc said it could still be from the impact, though, even if nothing showed up on the CT scan. ;)

    Good Afternoon Friends,

I'm back from my lunch-meeting with my Pastor. He brought two church members to help explain his position of migraines, physical, and emotional illnesses.

It didn't take long for me to realize that the Pastor, and church are firm believers of the "Word of Faith" camp. I heard way more of the comments of Kenny Copeland, Fred Price, and Benny Hinn then I care to repeat.

There might actually be something to their beliefs about physical illnesses though(NOT), I now understand how something that went through my ears can upset my stomach! :tongue3:

I kept my cool, remained a gentleman, and answered their questions with Scripture(the inside of my cheek is raw though).

Thank you everybody for your prayers, support, and encouragement. I am now looking for a church home. Our neighbors across the street have invited us to the Wednesday Night Prayer Service, and Sunday services at their church.

They are members of a SBC church about 15 miles south of us. We're going to go, this whole thing has drained us emotionally, and spiritually.

Sue: I knew what you meant about the recliners. Just pickin' on ya a little.

Ann: Praise God!! That is GREAT news.(((HUGS))) I must admit you had me scared. Sorry if I sound like a neurotic mother hen.

Thank God for all my brothers and sisters in Christ!

I thought that would be the results, Rob. Sorry!!

BUT, for those who are interested, a good friend of mine is currently writing a book on pain - and will be putting out a book on migranes too. She's due to have the book out January '08 and then the book on migraines in July '08. I told her I'd be happy to proof read the migraine book. ;) She's a wonderful Christian woman who's writing it with a Biblical perspective. Should be great!!

Thanks Brother Jim. It is always good to see you too. My, my, that's the busiest T-Shirt I have ever seen. I know it is a sentimental value to you, so wear it with good health, and blessings to you and your dear wife for Christmas! :) By the way, it is not the finger surgery but my pinched sciatic nerve which prevents me from sitting in front of the computer....

Oops. Lady Sue, you will probably chastice me for double posting - or rather having posts right after one another. Not very good practice is it? Well, I promise I will do better next time.

    Hush, Gayla!

You are forgiven, Bro. Barnabas. Don't let it happen again. :tongue3:

Jim: That is a wonderful t-shirt! What a unique idea!

Rob: I know you will find a good church home - especially when they taste your cooking!

    Good morning all,

This is probably the busiest week of the year! I have had people dropping in for the 'open house' and I've also done the regular 'taxi service' thing for Brent and his activities.

It is going to rain ½ inch today and tonight. I have my sunporch decorated for Christmas and the many Christmas cards I've received hung out there, along with garland and... the roof still leaks so I'll probably have a big mess in the morning. :tear:

In all the hustle and bustle, I forgot all about Christmas dinner! There will just be Dale, myself, and two grandsons. I have a very large turkey breast in the freezer from Thanksgiving. I may reheat that and fix 3 or 4 side dishes. Everyone will be excited about their gifts and stuffed from eating the appetizers, cookies, candies, and drinking egg nog to eat too much anyway...

I have some people coming over this afternoon for 'open house' and Brent has his last Spanish class today, then there's church tonight.

I was supposed to get a call from the doctor's office about my lab tests yesterday - maybe they'll call today. I'm anxious to see if my cholesterol levels have improved since I started taking medicine 6 months ago. If not, then I don't see any sense in taking the medicine!

There is a batch of Date Swirl's on the counter. Help yourself.

    HAGD all!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Ho.. Ho.. Holy Cow it's cold! It's 17 degrees with a windchill of 10 degrees. Both the car, and I didn't want to start this morning.

I brought in Hot Chocolate, Hot Water for tea, Eggs, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Pancakes and Sausage. Enjoy!

After yesterday I'm still kicking myself for not picking up on what kind of Pastor I had. Guess you can see that discernment isn't exactly one of my gifts. Ahh well, the nice part about beating you head against the wall is that it feels so good when you stop. I guess you can say I "really paid" for the lunch yesterday. I not only picked up the check, but my beliefs were the main course.

Today is a new day, I look ahead and not behind. Seems like I heard this a time or two.

The extended forecast for Christmas day is 38 degrees, with a slight chance of flurries. If I want to see a "White Christmas" I'll look out west around Washington state, and in those part of the woods.

Sue: I've been on Lovastatin for my cholesterol for about 18 months. Maybe if I didn't wash the pill down with Sausage Gravy it might work better. LOL. Good thing the breakfast in the Coffeehouse is virtual, and has no cholesterol!
