thanks,,wife actually made the card. Both the dogs in that photo were rescued just days before they were to be put down. What a special joy to see them running freely on the estate.

Cheers,

Jim

AVL, you are most welcome.

Isn't modern technology wonderful that it can enable people who are thousands of miles apart to share in things like this.

Thanks for taking the photograph Jim. It has brought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people.

That is WONDERFUL Tony! When we moved here, the CO was not completed because the stove had not been installed and they'd put the wrong color carpet in my bedroom. It was also the weekend around July 4th so we moved in and closed a week later. Works for ME!

Wish we were closer so we could help you move. All you need is a couple of 'old folk' and a 10 year old who talks constantly. LOLOL

I want snow! I only want it for a day or two, but I want snow.

It appears that after all the waffling the weather man has been doing we might be in for some ice (NOT snow) overnight tonight.

Jim, I have some kids that would love to play with those dogs in all that snow!

Both pictures are beautiful.

Rob's Christmas present still hasn't arrived yet. :( It sort of arrived last week but we discovered that someone had broken into the package en route and stolen the contents. The firm said they would despatch a replacement which we should have received on Monday. So far it hasn't arrived. I think I will have to phone them tomorrow and check that it is in transit at least. I may have to do some quick thinking.

I am so pleased you like it Diane and Nick. If you choose to send it on there is an option to have next years card sent to you too.

Okay, folks...please be praying for those here in Middle Tennessee. We're supposed to get sleet first, then snow on top. The last time it did this, nobody went anywhere for days, power was out, and things just weren't good. We love the snow, but ice is a different matter. I hear it is heading your way, or might already be there, Diane.

It's going to hit us first and then go after Diane.

I really hope it stays north. T's sister and her family had planned to travel back to North Carolina tomorrow.

Our county is just on the line between maybe and bad. Maybe we'll just get some ice on the bridges but if its bad it'll freeze all the rain that has soaked the ground today.

It's raining here but it's so warm still that nothing bad's happening.

I don't have Ty tomorrow! His mother thought she had told me it was a 3 day week. That means Nick and I can go to Jim's office party. We were invited... and he'd told them it would be a miracle if I had no kids... and no kids. He just called the manager, whom I've met, and he's told Jim to come in later so Nick and I don't have to be there at 7:30. The party is at noon.

Get this! Jim got a thank you note from the owner of the company which went out to all the men who'd been through training. The 'note' gave the plan of salvation and included a book of 13 weeks of studies on growing as a Christian. The fella includes his contact info for anyone who isn't saved and wants to talk. Jim said the old fella also took a full morning during training to share his testimony and he'd said if there was anyone there who'd be offended, they could leave that portion of the meeting. I think Jim said he's 82. He and his wife sent us a Christmas card with a personal handwritten note too. It even referenced a conversation he and Jim had during training. That's class!

Diane and Jim-a friend has a home on SSI and one in Brunswick. Selling the one in Brunswick, there's a studio piano there they want to give to us. Cheryl says its nice. We have no room. We just
bought an 88 key Clavinova. Someone gave Jordan a Yamaha acoustic yesterday. We have musical instruments running out of our ears. We could start a band or open a music store.

Gib, Jim sold his Yamaha Keyboard a while back to help pay bills. He still has some speakers and a sub woofer listed on Audiogon.com that we hope to sell. I'm watching Freecycle.com for one for him. Too bad you don't have the room. Maybe someone in church?

Evening folks. Just stopping by to say good night.

I've been up since 3:30 this morning and still don't have all my strength back. I've got a head cold now and haven't been able to hear out of one ear for a few days.

Brent and Dale both have colds too. It seems like everyone I see has a cold or SOMEthing...

Pleasant dreams all!

Hey Sue, hope you can sleep good and LONG tonight. I don't have to get up early and sure hope Jim can sleep all night. He disturbs us and wakes us....

Our son, Jon, said it's pouring in Atlanta. Just a light rain here and even warmer than it was earlier.

Hi everyone. Just got back from Virginia so I was away all last week. It was starting to get cold back there from the cold front moving across the East. I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and may the joy of Christ be yours throughout your lives.

Boy Howdy - not much time to get on the BB as we have the house filling. Have my laptop slid in along side the couch and try to pull it out late night, but with all the activities here . .

Family #2 finally made it here at 4 pm. They left Wisconsin at 1 pm Monday. Blizzards and ugly weather made for a gueling trip.

We have snow here and it will hit 0 degrees F for a low. Ugh. We often go through a winter without that cold. But too cold to have little ones playing in the yard.

If a thread gets out of hand, hit a moderator alert. I will try to spend a little time, but they will be staying until Jan 3 and 5th respectively, and one more family coming in and also satying until the 5th.

Gumpa is in a survival mode . . .

Good morning all:

Dr.B.: It is such a blessing to have all your family home for Christmas (or anytime for that matter). I remember when EVERYONE came home for Christmas - not so anymore. :(

It is 7ºF heading for a high of 11ºF today. It will be such a joy doing papers this afternoon in that wind.

When we do papers in the morning it will be 1ºF with a wind chill of -15ºF. Not much warmer for Christmas morning or Sunday either.
