    Good Morning!

I had a good day also. We got to play with the youngest grandchild. He is a year old, walking, and talking. He pointed out and said "bush" and "dog". Of course, Muffin didn't know he was talking about him.

Well, it is Monday and lots of work to do on Monday. I wish my cleaning lady came on Monday, but Ed said if she did, I would have to spend Sunday afternoon cleaning so the house would be straight and ready to clean. I don't have her do laundry or dishes.

Hope you all have a great day!

[IMG] Queen for a Day! [IMG]

WE worked out in the yard and in the house yesterday, trying to recover from a week with no dryer and me sick. About halfway through, my Son says, "Hey Mom, this is Mother's Day, weren't you supposed to stay in bed all day?" LOL Like THAT would ever happen!

We got a bunch done. Precious is paying for it though, this morning. She rode off most of the grass and then helped wash the cars and it was too much for her. Her neck was really hurting her this morning. I'll probably have to go get her from school in a little while. Poor baby, we'll have to watch out that she doesn't overdoit in the future.

Thankful, if I could find a cleaning lady, laundry and dishes are exactly what I would want done! But, there are no reliable cleaning ladies that I can find anywhere, so there will always be laundry and dishes waiting to be done!

Ya'll have a good day. I'll be in and out today, trying to finish up what we started yesterday and getting ready to have a yard sale Friday and Saturday. My list of things to accomplish this week is growing by the minute and done of it gets done if I'm sitting here chatting.

    See ya later!

If I could AFFORD a cleaning lady, she would be dusting, vacuuming, doing baseboards and windows!!!

I was going to have a teen-age girl from the church come in once a week and she was gonna charge me $35.00 an hour!!!

So I guess I will continue to dust and vacuum while sneezing and wheezing...

I used to have Merry Maids every two weeks when we lived up north and I was the 'inside person' for our company. I paid $62.50 and 3 women would come and cleaned so well! Every piece of furniture that could be moved by two women, got moved every time.

Cleaners here get about $75.00 for cleaning your house and they do two or three a day. I'd LOVE to have a group come and do my cleaning just to get me caught up but the kids would track in mud the very next day. MacKenzie already came in with her shoes on to tell me 'Ty won't play with me'. Ty's raking my leaves and I'll NOT tell him to stop. LOLOL

I only have MacKenzie and Brayden til 1:15 today. They came at 10:15. Mom has a class. Tues, Thurs. and Fri., I have them from 6:15 until Dad gets off. We go to three 10 hour days a week starting next week.

I wish we could afford a cleaning lady! I do what I can....the rest waits until Saturday! My mom cleaned houses for several years, and still cleans my brothers house as part of her rent agreement. Vivian and I had talked about starting a cleaning service years ago, but the liability insurance was far too expensive for our tastes.

Boy Howdy all, from sunny 53F Casper, Wyoming! Had a blessed day yesterday and the wife enjoyed her special day. Church picnic (men prepared, cooked and cleaned up) and then in evening a dinner for her mom. Calls from the kids.

NOW it's back to normal. She takes Monday off from the clinic, so is shampooing the carpet.

Who needs a maid service? I've got a wife! [IMG]

(And I'll deny I ever said that if you quote me)

    HEY HEY

I do EVERYTHING she says. She's the doctor. And she keeps giving me these pills to "help" me. Don't really know why I need so much e-s-t-r-o-g-e-n or such, but I keep saying "Yes, dear".

I am far to busy enjoying life to trouble about a little dust, an unmade bed or even a little clutter about the house. Mercy, there are dishes in sink to-day,,will I ever live with that? Should someone come to visit, I should hope they notice me and not my clutter, else they might better head off home and clean some more.

    Cheers,

    Jim

The trouble around here is 'some' dishes in the sink today means a 'LOT' of dishes in the sink tomorrow - taking twice as long to do them...

I tell people if they want to come and visit ME to drop by anytime.

If they want to come and see how clean my HOUSE is they need to either make reservations, three weeks in advance, or pay an admission fee! [IMG]

Well I have a dishwasher but also with all the children, I like knowing the dishes and cups are sterilized. Too many sore throats, runny noses, etc.

Nick got his first mosquito bite last night. It was invisible at 2 hours but at 12 hours was the size of a quarter with almost no swelling tho. It's still a bright red spot and you can feel a small raised spot. His major swelling always started at 24 hours. Wish he'd outgrow the allergy.

Ty and Max are playing out back. Max only comes through May 27th, the last day of school, and then won't come again. I'll be glad when I don't have to go and pick him up every afternoon. It takes forever!

Jim1999, I had a pastor just a few years back who knew I was disabled and that my wife was working 60+ hours a week (before I got my disability from SS) and said "My, what a sloppy housekeeper you are." I showed him the door and told him to come back when God was with him. I've got dishes in the sink now also, and the carpet needs to be vacuumed (which I cannot do...the sound of the vacuum would send me into fits of vomiting!) and the bed is PARTIALLY made. I've got clutter on the floor where I've still been going through boxes nearly five months after moving into this house. We've still got a garage full of things that need to be unpacked. People don't like what they see here, I give them two suggestions.....either pitch in and help make it better, or don't let the door hit ya on the way out! ;)

Tony, that pastor might better have pitched in and helped or arranged for the same. I guess some of us do goof, even ministers. Sorry you had that experience.

When I had my Saskatchewan pastorates, I carried coveralls in the boot so I could run after the tractor in the fields and have a short visit with the menfolk. Sometimes I think they upped the speed just to see me run. Seriously, those men were so appreciative that I cared enough about them,,them...and not just their wives and tea.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, it was a learning experience for me. It helped me to see just how many of the churches and colleges I had attended before we became Southern Baptist had indoctrinated me....well, we'll leave that for a different thread....but, it did help me appreciate more the things that people had done in the past, that they have done, and will do in the future, and helped me to learn to be a better servant of others.

I sure hope they didn't wear you out behind those tractors! LOL I used to work in the corn and soybean fields of Illinois, and I know how fast paced it can become....RUNNING, LITERALLY, and tearing tassles out of corn! Sue might know something about that if her kids ever did it!

    God bless ya, Brother! [IMG]
