I did NOT say anything to warrant that!

I would love an explanation. That is not right.

This question about her previous post.

Here you go Tony.

INGREDIENTS:
1 bunch cilantro leaves, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 cups honey
juice from one lime
4 salmon steaks
salt and pepper to taste

-----------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stir together cilantro, garlic, honey, and lime juice. Heat until the honey is easily stirred, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, and let cool slightly.
Place salmon steaks in a baking dish, and season with salt and pepper. Pour marinade over salmon, cover, and refrigerate 10 minutes.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.
Lightly oil grill grate. Place salmon steaks on grill, cook 5 minutes on each side, or until fish is easily flaked with a fork.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I wouldn't eat it, but I can't tolerate the smell or look of salmon. :eek:
I also answered Rachel privately and explained the Coffee House is not a 'serious discussion' place. Maybe the Tea Room would like to enter into heated discussions now? :confused:
Thanks, Diane. I threw the salmon out. I went to cook it and just literally got sick to my stomach. I truly don't understand it, because salmon used to be one of my favorites years ago.
It's been a warm day here. Vivian mopped the kitchen and mud room floors on hands and knees and I have been studying off and on for preaching tomorrow night at the 5th Sunday Sing. I'm preaching after the youth pastor and before the pastor. They are short 5 minute sermonettes. I also may get to play the piano for the sing tomorrow. Please pray the Lord keeps me well. I miss it when I can't go to church and get very frustrated....but that's for another thread in another forum... ;)
If I'm not on tomorrow, ya'll have a wonderful Lords day!
Oh, by the way, Diane, I'm listening to Bill & Gloria Gaither and friends: Reunion...A Gospel Homecoming! It's excellent and nearly brings tears to my eyes just rejoicing in the Lord through song!
I don't have the Gospel Homecoming! Is it great??? I've got 'Israel Homecoming', 'Journey to the Sky', 'I Do Believe' and 'Going Home'. 'Journey and I Do Believe' are my two favorites. We buy them on DVD and watch them many nights a week. Good, good music!
Good for you about the Salmon. Sometimes I think our body is trying to tell us something!
It is EXCELLENT music! I have always loved the Gaithers. They've been one of my favorite groups since I was a child. I don't get them on DVD, just the audio. We've just gotten a DVD player for the tele, but we can't get it hooked up because our tele is so out of date...that ought to tell you something! We've had the crazy thing for over 15 years. The other one we have is almost 20 years old, Then we have a portable from the 1970's and a newer 13" color w/ vcr that we used in our business that is only a year or so old. I love the videos of them, too, though! I've watched them on the religious channels.
That poor salmon is now in the convenience station dumpster smelling up the area. I can bring myself to eat tuna, but salmon I doubt I will ever eat again.
I can only eat tuna either in a cream sauce over toast or as a sandwich or salad. I'm not a big 'fish' person but had fried oysters and a shrimp/ asparagus dish over pasta tonight.
I'm going to have Jim get me that DVD this week! He picks me one up every couple of weeks and he was going to get the Jerusalem one but I'm afraid it'll be a lot like Israel and I really like the HomeComing DVD's and shows! We've only been to one and LOVED it!
Did you see the Gaither's have a full set of videos for kids now? One set is called Gaither's Pond and Mark Lowry plays a fish called Carp Lowry. He's such a hoot!
Well, we had an exciting evening!
Hubby went to the store and called about 10 minutes later saying he had been in an accident and would I come down.
He wasn't hurt, but his truck is totaled. He was going down our main street and a car ran the stop sign from a side street and he didn't have time to stop.
She had to be cut out of her car and her car is totaled also. I think she just had minor abrasions.
She got the ticket so I'm not sure what is going to happen. In the meantime, we are down to one vehicle.
I am praising the Lord that no one was seriously injured! Vehicles can be replaced - people can't...
We just got home and I'm going to bed.
Pleasant dreams all!
Oh Sue! I'm so glad Dale is okay and just pray the woman had insurance and Dale's truck is replaced and even a better truck!
Also pray your tummy is much better.
Sue,
Policies and states differ, but when we were hit,
their insurance had to provide a temporary rental vehicle while we got ours fixed.
That's right, Karen! One of the moms I sit for has had 3 accidents in 2 months and she got a free rental car each time.
Well I'm VERY sleepy! LONG day! I've gotten so much done today.
Oh my goodness Sue! I'm sure glad no one was hurt.
It's been a busy day here too. Shopping mostly early in the day. This evening we've had company. T's sister and her family are in and all came to our house so the "cousins" could play. Not sure the critters appreciated having 5 kids in the house at once. The new kitten is certainly tired out! I think she's been in someone's arms all day. One of the hamsters nearly met his end when the youngest ones decided he needed "exercise". If I'd been the poor thing, I'd have bit someone. T yelled at them instead and wouldn't let them "play" with the guinea pigs. The dogs were all thanking their lucky stars that they were outside where they could run away!
Tomorrow will be more of the same. Well maybe not the shopping, but the visiting. This time our crew will head down to T's mom's house for hambugers and hotdogs. First though we have to run out to the furniture store and pickup Precious' new mattresses that we paid off today. It was supposed to be done today but we ran out of time. I also have to run out to the nursery where a friend of mine works and pick up some flowers that she set back for me today.
I kinda hope it pours rain Monday so we'll have an excuse to just sit around and do nothing! We're supposed to be starting the deck project, but I think we've done enough for one weekend.
I think I'm going to find something to watch on TV and go to sleep. See ya tomorrow.....maybe....
Good morning all:
Diane and Karen, that is true about the rental car. When the woman hit me in McDonald's parking lot a few months back, her insurance had to pay for my rental car AND the damage to my car.
However, Dale's truck is a 1987 and I'm thinking they're probably going to total it and give him 'Blue Book' price which won't be enough for another used truck, nor will they provide a rental car while he's looking... :(
He will have to wait until Tuesday, after work, to take the papers to our insurance company. They will 'duke it out' with the other person's insurance company (providing she had insurance).
If she did not, then we're out all the way around. Since Dale's truck was so old, we only carried liability on it to protect the other person. He will get nothing...
It is supposed to start raining this afternoon and continue through tomorrow. I guess there'll be no picnic or trip to New Salem.
Cruising,
§ue
Sue, I'm really sorry to hear about the truck problems. I've seen people ask on Freecycle here for a work vehicle. One lady needed a big van and it was given to her.
Cindi, sounds like a big bunch of people! I don't like a lot of noise and dread the coming week if the rain does come and stay. I'm freezing NOW! It's only 56°.
Ty's coming home from Alabama on Monday night but his mommy is working 8-5 Tues. - Fri. MacKenzie and Brayden's mom is to work Tues. and Fri. late afternoons. Friday is 3 p.m. til 3 a.m. so they'll only be here til their dad is off work. I'm all finished with Max and got a nice note of thanks from them. He'll ride the bus to his house next year and a elderly neighbor lady will watch him until his big sister comes in, an hour later.
Well I need to think of some fun things to prepare to entertain the kids on the rain days this week. I've got a box for the girls to build their own doll house. I expect one of the boys to get involved. I can bring out the Brio train set for the 3 year old boys but the new one is a stomper and those track pieces cost a LOT of money! Nick's thrilled because Ashley and Warren are out of school and they can ride bikes, scooters and do other 'big kid' things.
They've already planned a 'wet day' with balloon fights, water guns, sprinkler, etc.
My fill in helper forgot to come and help me for Extended Session. I had 17 kids all alone but two moms came in and helped a little after 11:15. The kids were wild once our Sunday School lesson was over.
Lots more major cleaning today so see you all tonight.
Matthew 7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
Weather man here says rain all week with clearing on THURSDAY and then rain again on Friday!
It's cool here to at just 65 degrees.
I was by myself in SS too Diane. I only had six though. Seventeen and I'd have drafted help! We used balloons in our lesson. That kept them busy and we only had one to burst. Too bad the door was still open! :eek:
We're headed to T's folks for hambugers and hotdogs. We're taking "National Treasure" with us to watch.
Ya'll have a good day!
