I would love to see a picture of Sue after she's all dolled up for the wedding!

We close school here for the threat of snow. It's stupid.

Sue!!??,

You bought some pants and things at a thrift shop for the wedding???

NUTS!!! I was going to surprise you with a gift certificate from the deli so you could "custom design" your wedding outfit, with appetizers thrown in so you could have a necklace, bracelet, and earrings.Wanted to see all the men drool when you walked in.

Oh well, at least now you won't have to stay away from the heat so your outfit doesn't disintegrate.

Please post a picture so everybody can appreciate how the "Southern Belle of the Ball" looks.

I can still use a gift certifcate for the deli. I haven't got my cold cuts and cheese yet.

I'm not a Southern Belle, but I will post a picture if I look as good a y'all think I'm going to!

I am definitely posting a family picture on my web site as the one I have on there now is from 1999! I hope we can fit all 27 people in the camera...

Hey ya'll!

Another day spent at the sewing machine! I'm slowly but surely working my way through my Christmas projects. Now if I could just quit getting ideas about what I could make for this person or that, I might get finished! :D I added three more projects to my list today! I think that'll bring the total number of projects to 12. I like even numbers! I am finished with two and have 90% of a third done. The fourth is already cut out and goes to the machine as soon as I get the third hemmed and the buttons on(this one is the most important cause it is my party dress!
).

I've had some sadness in my life today, as my microwave died. However it has been reincarnated into a brand new(and clean!) model fresh from Walmart so life is good again and my marriage is safe. Maybe this one will last longer than 3 years. I doubt it though. My first microwave, that T had to purchase before I would marry him, lasted for 13 years. I've been through 3 in years since that one died. The first two lasted only about a year each, today's casualty last for 3.

Anyhow, it's been a good day considering I had to cook supper the old fashioned way.

Well, I've added another item to my agenda for the week end...

Letting you know my schedule in case you don't see me until Sunday.

BTW, the church where the rehearsal supper and wedding will take place is a 2 hour drive - round - trip both nights.

No one knows how to get there, so at last count, we had 4 cars that will be following us and we don't know how to get there either. CONVOY!

Wednesday morning: go grocery shopping for deli meats, cheeses, hoagie buns

Thursday morning: 6:00 - cook breakfast (sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits) for 7

Thursday afternoon: make 3 salads and bake ham

Thursday evening: 5:00 - help serve 40 at rehearsal supper

Friday morning: 7:00 - set up tables and decorations at Woman's Club for Christmas

Friday morning: 11:00 - take food, drinks, plates etc. to Woman's Club

Friday afternoon: make dirty pickles, cheeseballs, relish tray, dip, arrange trays for cold cuts

Friday evening: 6:00 - attend wedding

Saturday morning: take Christmas presents to Woman's Club, make coffee and iced tea, put pop (soda pop, not Dale) on ice

Saturday noon: All 27 of my immediate family should be at the Woman's club and we will eat, open presents, eat, fellowship, eat, take pictures, and last, but not least, eat.

Whoa! I'm tired just reading that list!

(Cindi hides in the corner, hoping desperately to not be sucked into Sue's nightm---I mean wedding/Christmas whirlwind!)

You better get to bed, cause you won't be sleeping again till Sunday. We'll see you on Monday if you've digested enough of your feast to move to the computer.

This semester is almost over! YAY! Friday is technically the last day, although this week is pretty much over, it's just turning in finals.

I already have the grade for one of my classes. It was given to me along with a note from the professor that warmed my heart. She wrote:
Gina, you are so interesting - creative, intelligent, funny! And a radical on top of that! Just this brief time I have been blessed to be your teacher. You have enriched my life - Thank You
And I even PASSED the class on top of that! :D

Now I remember why madre and I eloped. Thanks for the reminder Sue. 26 years a week from today!

Still snowing...maybe another foot by morning! We've had almost 40" of snow for the season. The first blast melted within a day or two but I think this pile will be around for some time.

Gina, want to come this way and read First Kiss while standing in my driveway. Figured that would work as good as ice melter.

We are expecting 1-3 inches of snow today and we already have 2 inches on the ground.

Good Morning all:

Our 14 degrees is probably warm according to your 0 degrees, Sue.

We do have a wind chill of -6 degrees.

Praying for all travelers and people who need to be out in this cold.

Waiting for Jim1999 to come in and tell us how warm and toasty he is.

So far, we have SunShine, but snow and ice are expected soon.

Did I tell you that Muffin is acting like a little puppy again. He plays and plays and plays. Then he runs and runs around the house. He loves his new food and I have discovered instead of the treats that he can't have, I just give him a little portion of the food he can have. He is eating a large can a day. That may be a little too much. I will have to watch to see if he gains too much weight. He is looking out the window now checking the neighborhood. Nothing going on except leaves blowing, too cold.

Have a great day. I think I'm just going to relax and do as little as possible today.

Betty

Yes, he is!

Now a questions for you, people? Why does a woman scream when she sees a mouse?

I went into the kitchen last evening to take something out of the microwave and this thing ran from behind the microwave and darted now the burner opening of the gas range. It startled me so that I screamed and Of course, Ed and Muffin thought I was crazy. Opening the top of the stove, you can see where he went down the back of the stove.

Muffin had just caught one the day before. I don't think we will ever get rid of them. We have to be careful with poison so I guess we will just keep trapping.

Brother Blackbird, Just wander over to bard Gina L's blog and read her torrid tale of young love and a first kiss. That is exactly why daddys threaten to lock their daughters in a convent until they're 40. Nasty little boys anyway....

But i can't get warm without your hand to hold.
The radiators hissin still I need your kissin to keep me from freezing each nite.
I've got a hot water bottle, but nothing i've got'll take the place of you holdin me tight.
I've got ::cling cling:: fsssss steam heat.

When cat vs. mouse, I pull for the little guy. When it's me vs. mouse, I pull the shovel out and go to whacking.

Not to fear padre!
That's as far as it ever went.

We were accused of more, so I immediately broke off the relationship, as it wasn't true and I felt as if it was better to break it off and cease any rumors.
He never heard them, (they came from my own family, ACK) so I never did tell him why because I didn't want the idea of it going around even further, I just made a phone call and then hung up on him, and then his cousin came and beat me up for making him cry. I still never said why though.
I still regret that, and should have at least made up SOME explanation, but I just wanted it all over with. He was a very decent person, and we had both made the decision that it would never go beyond a kiss, and it never did.
You want stories that'll make you lock up your daughters...goodness, I don't think they're needed! Just walk down the road and look at the teens...pants falling off, they slouch down the street instead of walk...I've already told my girls that at the least, they have to know how to pull up their pants and walk upright! I don't think I'm over-reaching, lol!
