We are having a feast in here Christmas day and I'm furnishing all the finger foods. Come one, come all and enjoy the good food and fellowship.

I will have two serving tables. One for cold cuts, cheese, relish trays, cheese balls. The other for salads, homemade cookies and candy.

Stop by for a minute and grab a plate!

Going to watch TV with Brent now and then head for bed. I really need to get caught up on my sleep (even though I know that doesn't happen).

Pleasant dreams all!

Good afternoon, everyone. I didn't realize that I had not checked in today. I am staying away from Walmart. I went to a drug store in a town that is closer to me than the one I really live in and they have the most wonderful selection of gifts. They have the gifts displayed according to likes and dislikes. You know, the hunter, the fisherman, the golfer, all the different things that women like, but do you think they had anything for a person who stays on the computer all the time? No. But I decided I had better get something since I was hiding Muffin's present yesterday and Ed thought I was hiding his.

(He will read this you know) At least he will think he has something under the tree. He has already opened his big present.

But I had fun shopping at this store because it was not crowded at all. I will remember and do all my shopping there next year.

Well, I thought I had posted this, but my son called and was very talkative. Always love talking with my son. Aren't children special?

This will be the second Christmas that we have been apart, but we see each other at other times during the year.

I'm done with Walmart myself at least til after Christmas! I discovered I was out of sage and poultry seasoning, but wasn't anyway I was going into Walmart just for that. I went to another, usually quiet grocery store instead. They were busy but not as bad as Walmart.

I also had to go pick up something at our local mall. They were so busy that I had to park in the south forty. Took longer to walk to and from than it did to pick up and pay for what I needed! My inlaws had started there earlier in the day, but were scared off by the full parking lot and line of cars waiting to get in.

Here's hoping I haven't forgotten anything else I'll need to cook with!

I think I'm heading to bed. T has been sick all week and I seem to be catching it. My throat is sore. This is probably why I've been tired the last few days. I hate colds!

Well guess it'll be up to me tonite. BH is already in bed too. She's been in & out of her nest all day. Cept when Agee was playin' christmas music by Bing Crosby. She lay on top of her box all sprawled out the whole time!!
If anyone comes in & needs anything just holler, I may be in the back!

Thankful, you live in a drugstore???
Oops! that is what I said isn't it? Actually I went to a nearby town whose shopping distinct is closer than the shopping district of the town I live in. That is clear as mud, huh? Sometimes, I feel as if I live in a drug store when we look in our medicine cabinet.

I'm headed for bed. Do you suppose I'll write better tomorrow! First you laugh about my falling and now about my living in a drug store. Is this a great place or what? What fun that we can joke with each other!

Well, I went to bed at 10:00 and was tired of tossing and turning, so I got up again around 11:30.

It looks like I will be up for awhile. Well, I can get the tables arranged for our 1st Annual Coffee House Christmas Dinner.

Well..if everbody's snoozing I guess it's safe to turn out the lights, all but the one on the front stoop,& try out this rocker I found in the back. Sue, ya ought to go back there more often, there's all kind's of neat stuff! Glad BH hasn't wondered in back there....I'd never find her! Course I'd do what I do at the house...just pick up a bag of bbq chips & rattle the bag...that'll bring her runnin' every time!
See yun's after while!

Ah Sue...didn't hear ya come in, does this mean I can go join my cozy little wife in our sweet bed...er I mean sweet wife in a cozy bed!!

Well, I've been up since 1:25 am . Don't know why I can't sleep. I know I've got a lot of stuff to do today if I can.

Sue, what are you doing up this early? Viv's still asleep. We went to bed at 10 last night and she's really sawing logs! She needs the sleep, I can tell you that. They didn't have to work OT this weekend, so that was good.

Here in TN, it just doesn't feel like Christmas! Unseasonably warm weather and so commercialized on TV and in the papers. Seems like the real meaning for the season nowadays is to worship the all mighty dollar.

Well, if I don't get back on today, ya'll have a wonderful Christmas.

Good morning Tony and all,

I finally went back to bed around 2:30, then got back up at 5:00. I am SO glad I take my last Prednisone this morning! Once that is out of my system, I will be able to calm down and get some sleep. Unfortunately, the Biaxin goes on for 4 more days. YUCK!

Today is going to be a 'not doing much' day for me. There really isn't anything I have to do... I am having brunch for 5 tomorrow, but I can't do any of that ahead of time and we are having cold cuts, relish tray, etc. for supper. And we have plenty of cookies and candies left that I made for our 'family' Christmas on Dec. 10th, so...

Y'all have a good day!

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!

MK, I told someone that we lived in a bookstore because Ed has so many books and she believed me. I will really have to be careful what I say or rather the way I say it.

It is a beautiful day here, but windy.

I'll stop by later. Not sure what I'll bring to the Coffee House Dinner.

Good morning, and Merry Christmas Eve also!

It's really a glorious day here...same as Oklahoma...beautiful, but windy.

I have my Christmas music playing, doing some baking and just enjoying the season. Got my presents wrapped last night.

Going to my brother and sil's tonight. Will spend the night and since they don't attend a "megachurch", their church IS having a Christmas worship service! We'll go to that and then have lunch and open presents!

I love the fact that Christmas is on Sunday this year. Makes it seem REALLY special as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Betty, I live in a bookstore too! You're right, I've picked on you alot here lately. I'll have to go hunting for a new victim. Or maybe I should just stop before I turn into Gib or Blackbird.

Tony! Turn off that TV and put those newspapers in trash. You've lived in the south long enough for the weather not to count. Now, get Viv and take a drive about 4 hours south. I've got more than enough Christmas spirit in this house and I'll be glad to share. You keep the kids busy for a while and I'll be able to post a coherent sentence. ;) Then I'll get around to cooking. Since my parents are coming over we're having ribs, hambugers and hotdogs, cole slaw, baked beans and anything else I happen to think of before then.

In the morning we'll be up by 4:30 at the lasted to open presents. Then back to bed until time to head to church for Christmas morning services(if we're not all to sick. T's cold is starting to make the rounds). For supper(or lunch or dinner or whenever I get it cooked) there'll be turkey, chicken and dressing, mashed taters and gravy, green beans, mac & cheese and there again whatever else I find to cook. Dessert is supposed to be lemon meringue pie and/or chocolate pie(kind of depends on if I get them cooked).

Hmmm, looking at all I have to do, I might better get started!

Happy Christmas Eve!

Thanks, Jim and that is a beautiful wish Elnora.

That's OK, Mk. When people pick on me, I think they like me. At least my family convinced me of that long ago.

We are listening to Christmas music and baking a pie.

Muffin is wondering when he gets to open his present. He has really been checking all the presents under the tree.

Have a great time with your families.
