Awwww you only want me for my shelves...

I love woodworking, and glad to get back at it. I fear I am quite busy making kitchen cupboards for our own house...they are long overdue here,,,well, about 30 years.

I also make fancy lawn ornaments..granted, they are from a catalogue I subscribe to. It keeps my hands working.

Cheers,

Jim

Turning BH loose, so watch yur step!
Got so hot today I didn't get half the stuff done I planned for outside. I put Sam out on her chain & in just a few minutes she wanted back in her pen....more shade there!
Have to go tomorrow evening to try to sign Agee up for a free clinic they have in Lexington. The doc. visits don't do her any good but we can get some of her prescriptions fill at very little cost. That is the only thing I miss from the mountains, she had a great doctor that took his time with her & didn't charge an outrageous price. HEe was from Canada, never did ask him how he wound up in NC, but he hated the whole way the medical field is run in the US. I have to agree with him. He was goofy too...a GOOD kind of goofy!!

Gayla, I love cornmeal. Where did you get yours? Sometimes Ron is in Alabama.

This particular cornmeal is milled by the J. T. Pollard Milling Company of Hartford, AL. I got it in my mama's hometown of Geneva, AL. Two very small towns way down in the South East corner of the state, about twenty miles apart and 10 or 12 miles from Florida.
It's good stuff. The stuff those Okies claim is cornmeal is like eating gravel.

Ack! Late start today! It's 8:30 already.

Thanks Gayla -- I'll send Ron over to get some next time he heads that way. My mom always got stone mill cornmeal and it ruined my taste for the stuff you get in the grocery store.

Bear! Ron can have all the Klondike bars he wants :tongue3: He's full of surprises!

Blythe's mom will be in town today, so we are going shopping this afternoon and out to eat dinner.

Coffee's on. (Tea too.) Drink, Drink!

Good morning all,

Another hot, rainy, sticky day awaits us here in our little corner of the world. It is so humid that it is foggy!

I was up sick last night and am hoping this 'bug' doesn't last more than 24 hours. I've had enough 'ailments' this month! I have to eat something in order to take my Toprol so I'm hoping everything stays down. Now if I could just get rid of this headache and feverish feeling...

Needless to say, this is not going to be a very productive day. I'm going to hit the couch and stay there.

Hope everyone else is doing fine,
§ue

oh, I forgot. I got several shadow boxes of the wedding made yesterday. They look even better than I'd pictured in my crafty mind. I'm so relieved!

Hi Guys!
Just passing thru and thought I'd grab a diet mountain dew and a donut. I'm on my way back from a place I haven't visited in a while(and hope I don't visit again) and thought I'd look in.
I'll pass on the coffee Bitsy, but thanks for the sugar:smilewinkgrin:

Good Morning Everyone!

No omlets for me Bitsy, but thanks. I have no time to eat this morning. Gotta get T's truck out to the mechanic real quick this morning. I was supposed to do it yesterday evening and got busy and didn't do it. By the time I was ready to take it, it was after 5 already!

Then it'll be back to start stripping the bathroom trim. I just about to wake up my Bitsy by taking down one of the doors. :D I just can't let a sleeping child be. :D (Of course if she hadn't snuck back into my bed, she wouldn't have to worry about being woke up)

Off to get started, ya'll have a good day!

Ham & Cheese in the omlete please, or since you're from the South, a Southern omlete.
Nothing like music at breakfast: a :flower: Southern Belle:flower: making a Southern Breakfast:smilewinkgrin:

Mountain Dew & Donuts is the like the "Breakfast of Ex-Champions" Rice Krispies and beer.

Cheryl and I are going to try to eat Raisin Bran for two meals a day (breakfast and dinner) for 10 days. Luckily we both like the stuff.

Cheerios...no, no, that's what I have for breakfast. Loads of energy, no sugar.

I have been up and about since 5, but not much accomplished. I did a walkabout and admired the turf I need to mow, the snapdragons coming to flower.

I come here early on, but everything is moving so slowly here, I don't stay. It seems to take forever to post anything or move about....anyone else experiencing that? Besides, I can only post in two areas and it is getting boring.

Good health to all, and enjoy life to the full.

I have more prickly ash to cut down and dispose of..they grow like weeds at the base of my apple trees.

Cheers,

Jim

Good afternoon all,

Bitsy, I got the cornmeal at the Piggly Wiggly in Geneva. I found a Piggly Wiggly in Tifton, GA which is about 2 hours from here instead of four, but they don't carry that brand.

MK, I'm hoping your reports of the bathroom job will inspire me to start on mine. (guess it isn't working yet:( )

Have a Stouffer's lasagne in the oven and it sure is starting to smell good in here . . .

See y'all later:wavey:

LOL Gayla! My reports will probably frighten you so bad you won't want to start your's.

So, I managed to get everything taped up so I could put the stripper on and then realized that I would have no privacy in my bedroom while the stripper does it's job because the door has to stay open. Takes this stuff about 4 hours to work. Well that'll be okay once I take a bath. I have an extra kid today so doors that close are a must. But, before I even get as far as the tub, I get a phone call. So I start picking up my room so that all the stuff that's in my way in the bathroom can go into the bedroom and there will be less chance of getting the paint stripper on something I don't want it on.

Get that just about done and another call comes in. The couch T and I order this weekend is in and they want to bring it today. It'll only be an hour or so. Well! The livingroom isn't dirty, but it certainly wasn't ready for the new couch! So I go do that, take me about 45 min.

I'm certainly not going to get in the tub only to have the delivery guys drive up. So the next best thing is to go put the stripper to the door I took down earlier. Get that done, couch is still not here. Okay, I'm doing laundry so I go get that kinda half way sorted out and another load in, still no couch.

Ya'll see where this is headed don't you? There is still no couch! It's been almost 2 hours and I've pretty much done everything I can until the couch comes. So I'm at a standstill and while I'm still I'm eating lunch.

You inspired yet, Gayla?

Figured I'd check in rite quik fore I go get my Honey. Got all the "runnin" done. Even had enough brass & copper to turn in to fill my truck back up & buy pizza so Agee won't come in & try to cook. Got her signed up for the clinic, but forgot about the bank statement, so I have to fax that tomorrow. Got my contract filled & signed & they said I might can sub some next week so that will help if I do.
BH has me wondering again...she is eating like a pig!! She don't "bury" nuthin no more...what we give her she eats rite then like she's starvin!! This is new behaviour so I'm just wondering bout her.
Welp, time to boogey so I shall retun!!

I'm tired, I'm aggravated and I'm going to bed to pout about it.

The low odor paint stripper I tried in effort to keep down the migraines, was worse than useless. I knew better than use anything but Formby's. Tomorrow I will fix my mistake!

Preacher, you ever thought that BH might just being doing normal female squirrel stuff? It seems as if these sick spells are coming kind of regular. I also have to wonder if not hibernating might be throwing off her system some?

Thanks...but squirrels don't hibernate, & there sho' ain't been no signs of "other" female activity, but then again, mabey it just ain't reached that stage yet!!
Really though it may just be some kind of phase, just hope it's not some kind of parasite that got in her system somehow. Agee tells me I just worry too much about her at times....ha...ought to see her when she thinks something is wrong with Sam!!

Morning Folks,
Jim...think I've been experincing the same slowness on here. The "server busy" problem seemd to have been taken care of, but there are times that it seems to take forever for a page to come up, & I know it's not my computer or connection, only happens here.
Ah, well, the wonderful world of cyber-space. Gives us baptists sumthin to grumble about!!
Agees at work, all the critters are still asleep, & I'm hungry!! Don't know if to fix my own, or go to B-vill for an egg-sausage biscut.
Came a good little thunderstorm last nite, course I'm sure the heat will return to normal,(or actually above normal lately) today.
Welp, guess I'll go piddle around & check back later...have a Blessed Day ya'll!!
