    Jesus Christ atoned for ALL.

Many people go to the Hell because they don't believe that truth, not because of their sins, but because of their rejection of Jesus Christ and His Truth.

Wow...what a discovery....so I'm going to hell because of what...I don't believe Christ died for all? So it's not enough that I believe in Christ as my Lord and Savior!

I don't think that is quite what he meant. The atonement has been made through the death of Jesus Christ. This is for all sin of all time with the exception Jesus gave which is unbelief will not be forgiven.

Unbelief is a sin, that why the wrath of God abides on all unbelievers.

Joh_3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Could you please give us your understanding of the Atonement, what has it done or accomplished?

If you couldn't understand what I meant by that truth properly, I will explain it.

Jesus Christ was punished for the sins of all the human race, and died shedding the Blood.
His Blood paid all the price for the sins of the world.
If you believe that truth, the atonement avails for you and it becomes your own credit. But if you don't believe and reject it, you carry the sin of unbelief and rejection, which is the biggest crime against God.
There exist lots of sins in the world today because people don't believe Him, not because they don't make the efforts for the good.

The sins of the Adam's race were imputed onto Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, and He carried the sins and shame with Him, then He was punished for your sin and for my sin, for the sins of the world, shedding the Blood at the Cross.
No sin was left unatoned at the Cross.
But there are still sins on this earth because people don't believe what Yeshuah has done at the Cross.
Jesus clearly explained on this in John 16:8-9.

I write this and above post by cellular phone.

I don't hold to that view of the atonement. It was unknown before the 16th century.

Thats why I wanted you to explain yourself....of course I believe that the blood of Christ could cover the sins of the world....indeed the universe....glad we cleared that up.

Sorry Eliy, scripture does not teach universal atonement, if everybody's sins are paid for then nobody could end up in Hell.

This is a non sequitur, as I demonstrated way back in post #22 on page 3 of this thread.

It would fit under Recapitulation, or Ransom, or Christus Victor. These were the views of the early church.

Satisfaction view came 1000 years later, and PSA 1500 years later. You could say that PSA was a development of Satisfaction. Satisfaction is Roman Catholic, and PSA came from the Magisterial reformers, mainly Calvin.

Under your view of ransom, who is the ransom paid to? I have heard some say God, others to satan.

Sproul has given arguments to support ransom before as well.

So a saved person can claim "credit" (to use your wording above) for their own salvation with your system, correct? After all, they elect to "believe", thus they controlled their own destiny, not God almighty. Apparently, man is sovereign, not God!

For anyone who believes Christ died for the sins of every human being, below are some questions taken from an article titled Tough Nuts For Arminians to Crack by Elder JB Hardy http://www.paradisepbc.org/Articles/Debates/toughnutsforarminians.htm

"1. Are we by the blood of Christ redeemed to God (Rev- 5:9), or just part of the way?
    2. If all men are redeemed to God, how can any of them get away from Him if they are kept by His power? (I Pet. 1:5)
    3. If Christ died for all men and rose for their justification, are not all justified?
    4. If the justified are lost, who will be saved?
    5. Will not all be saved that are justified? (Rom. 5:9)
    6. Did not Christ redeem His people from all iniquity? (Titus 2:14)
    7. Do not all have forgiveness of sins who have redemption through the blood of Christ? (Ephe- 1:7)
8 Did Christ lay down His life for the goats, or the sheep? (John 10:15)
    9. Are sinners made righteous by their obedience, or by the obedience of Christ? (Rom. 5:19)
    10. Was the world that God loved (John 3:16), and the world that wondered after the beast (Rev. 13:3), the same world?
    11. Did not Christ say, "I pray for them, I pray not for the world?" (John 17:9)
    "
