They can choose to respond positively , that's my point .Different though, as they can choose to get help even if not saved!

Even John Calvin understood that 'Faith in eph 2 ,8 is NOT the Gift . Clearly salvation is the GiftFaith is a gift given to those he chooses to save by grace. It is not of ourselves so that we cannot boast.
God chooses, by his gracious favor, to save us. He gives us the gift of faith. We therefore believe and because of this, we do the works God ordained us to do.
Read all of Ephesians 2:1-10 so you see the entire progression of what God does, with no assistance from us.
Yes . Acts 26.19Can God do anything that he chooses to do then? Did paul have real free will to tell Jesus no thanks?
How can you not see that that paints God in that way??
A God that literlaly FORCES HIS WILL UPON YOU THUS MAKING YOU A MINDLESS VOODOO DOLL HE CONTROLS FULLY, is not a God deserving of Worship. We have to make the conscious choice to worship/trust/follow God. That is why He gave every man a free will to do so. You call it being chosen, I call it being forced. Either way you roll it up, it's God making you do something against your will that you have ZERO control over.
Explain to me why that makes God and Just and Fair God.
Man choose to love sin, or to love God. Simple as that. God rewards salvation based on our choice. Period.
I hear myself. I am saying that the Creator of the universe knows how many hairs are on our heads and he has his entire creation in the palm of his hand. He directs all his Creation down to the most minute detail so that even the wicked actions of men can only happen by his choice to allow them to act in accordance with their wickedness.Do you HEAR YOURSELF? You're basically saying God controls all your actions!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is that RIGHT in ANY SENSE OF THE WORD.
That's like saying my husband allows me to speak and otherwise I would never speak on my own free will???? That is not love. That is a dictator.
He doesn't force you to worship him now. You still display amazing rebellion against His authority. It is only God's grace that keeps you from falling into the pit of hell. You are like a spider dangling over the flames by a thread. God has chosen to catch you when the cord is cut and you scream at him and call him horrific names while he spares your life. Indeed, we all dangle, just like you, and we are spared by God's gracious choice. It's just that some of us are amazed by His gracious favor while you spew hatred at God because you demand you choose to save yourself or else.Tell me, when we go to heaven, apart from no longer having the ability to sin, will God force us to worship Him or will we freely give Him worship because it will be our desire to since we first chose to love and follow God?
is the word sovereign in the bible ?I hear myself. I am saying that the Creator of the universe knows how many hairs are on our heads and he has his entire creation in the palm of his hand. He directs all his Creation down to the most minute detail so that even the wicked actions of men can only happen by his choice to allow them to act in accordance with their wickedness.
Yes, I very gladly proclaim that God is absolutely Sovereign in everything He created. I am not appalled by my faith in God's Sovereign control.
Yet, you show your hatred for a God who is all powerful and Lord over all creation. I cannot fathom your scorning the King of Kings as you do, just because you have this silly imagination that his choosing to save you out of slavery somehow makes you a voodoo doll. What an utterly bizarre thought you display. I stand directly opposed to you and I make no apology.
What if God is angry at the fact that some will not believe the Authority of His word ? If it pleases God to save those that believe the Gospel ,isnt it obvious He is not pleased with those that deny this ?He doesn't force you to worship him now. It's just that some of us are amazed by His gracious favor while you spew hatred at God because you demand you choose to save yourself or else.
Your view is anathema to me.

What's wrong with the way the Greek scholars have translated into English? Is there a better English version im missing? Can you please explain how that is true in Greek? It is very clear in Greek
which verse ?Yes. It is

Ok, I’ll answer you first. Then you can answer my question, I hope. And I'll answer you with a question. Why would you believe God forces Himself or His Holy Spirit to nudge/force someone enough to choose Him without making God seem like an abusive/controlling dictator?
Opinions/views change. I do not believe upon what I said before as I was misled into believing the holy spirit acts in that way. The Holy Spirit convicts an unsaved person, and it doesn't matter how many times He convicts us, the person still has to make the decision to decide.
Which is the very definition of a works based salvation.....
Man choose to love sin, or to love God. Simple as that. God rewards salvation based on our choice. Period.
I once believed as you do.I believe God knows (not chose) what a man will choose, but in the end, God has given man the free will choice to choose to follow/worship God or not.
That's the problem, sister.Other-wise, God is a God who forces man to love Him, and so, if He did choose us before time, selecting the few that will be saved, then really, God is an unjust God for not allowing a human the free will choice to choose and believe upon His son to be saved.
I agree, we as men do need help if we're ever going to be reconciled to God.It's like having a life guard throw out a life raft to a drowning man (drowning man = man who is in sin and needs help), the man can choose to make the effort (effort = having faith in Jesus) and to grab hold of the raft or to refuse the help and drown and die.
Scripture please. This is how God works, He offers the life raft (life raft = gift of salvation) and we, the drowning men/women have to make the conscious, free-will decision in our hearts and minds to choose to be saved by God.
I disagree. This does NOT take away the glory and power that God has and will always have.
The Bible certainly does tell us that God is kind and merciful ...This depicts a merciful, just and righteous God who gives ALL (Jews and Gentiles) a chance to be saved. But the saving is a two way thing, God offers the Way to salvation (His Son Jesus Christ) and man has to receive Jesus into their lives before they can be born again and be saved unto life ever-lasting.
God's word tells us that being born of God is not of blood ( inheritance ), nor of the will of the flesh ( our own will ), nor is it of the will of men ( other people's will )....John 1:13.But the saving is a two way thing, God offers the Way to salvation (His Son Jesus Christ) and man has to receive Jesus into their lives before they can be born again and be saved unto life ever-lasting.
Yes, let's look at 2 Peter 3:9...Look at 2 Peter 3:9 :
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
No, we will desire to freely worship Him because He chose to demonstrate His love for us, He chose us, he brought us to salvation by power of Holy Spirit.Tell me, when we go to heaven, apart from no longer having the ability to sin, will God force us to worship Him or will we freely give Him worship because it will be our desire to since we first chose to love and follow God?
