That simply doesn't matter to me I'm not Arminian. I do not hold to anything like the tulip. The tulip is not Biblical. Never has been. It is a creation of man. Calvinism created Arminianism and Catholicism created it all and there is nothing true about Catholicism. The only truth there is,is the Bible. Men add to the Bible to satisfy them selves not God. .

So any comment you make is therefore false, as is all other commentary by all humans surrounding scripture.

That's the negative relativist position. No one can be correct because no one can accurately interpret scripture.

Yes, you are right, you are not a calvinists or arminian. You are full Pelagian. Your argument that Catholics believe in original sin, therefore it's wrong is fallacious at best. Catholics believe in the Trinity, so I suppose you deny that also.

But original sin, that idea that Adam took on a sin nature when he fell, and passed it to his descendants is thoroughly biblical..

Rom. 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

You have to reject Paul to deny it.

    David,

Yes, man is dead in sin.

What you are assuming is that Adam had life (spiritual life) apart from life in Christ (which is contrary to Scripture).

Life that is spiritual is called several things in the Bible. For example, it is "everlasting", of "imperishable seed", "the Spirit of God".

Do you believe that spiritual life is eternal life or do you believe it is temporary?

It was put to rest 1500 years ago, but that was the Catholic Church. Many of us hold doctrines that are not RCC based.

I said Adam had a human body, human spirit, and human soul. Why do you believe Adam did not have a natural spirit?

Do you believe the lost do not have a spirit?

Threads are, and will continue to be, closed after 130 posts. If you cannot handle that then I can recommend other boards that do not have that rule.

Closing threads that reach that limit is not, BTW, using a "bully pulpit" as anyone here who has read the sticky know when the threads will be closed and the conversation can continue on another thread (there is no escuse for ignorance).
