I find it quite wondrous that a professing Baptist who uses Catholic Apologist Peter Kreeft as his worthy signature quote is now an expert on logic.
HUH???? Is there a difference in how logic works for Catholics and "Protestants"?? It doesn't strictly matter whether I am an atheist, Protestant, Baptist, Catholic or "Other".........the laws of logic still are objectively true no matter what my signature is.....You are obfuscating, because you have no way to answer.
Inspector, I strongly suggest you carefully ‘inspect’ Dr. Kreeft’s “7 Reasons to be Catholic”, as you obviously believe you and Kreeft are on the same ‘logical’ page
.
I know who Peter Kreeft is ..............and I didn't have to "google" him (as you no-doubt did) in order to discover the fact that he's a Catholic.
I already knew who he was Protestant, I just like his quip, so I use it as a signature.........I like G.K. Chesterton too, and he's Catholic.............ditto Savonarolla...........
I liked them LONG before you came around googling who Peter Kreeft was.
Peter Kreeft, however, (whom I was familiar with long before you googled him) seems to understand something that you do not....namely, the difference and definition of necessary and sufficient conditions.....
You've not at all answered my post, and the reason is:
It's way beyond your ken...and you are totally out of your league in responding to it...
That's why you haven't meaningfully responded....it's because you are intellectually incapable of doing so. I'm sorry to say it...but you don't understand logic well enough and it's painfully obvious to anyone who does.
It wouldn't matter whether I was a Baptist, Protestant, Catholic, Deist, Atheist or Agnostic.......you
CLEARLY don't know logic.........and you don't comprehend "necessary" conditions and "sufficient" ones. You are still wrong sir, just logically wrong. I'm sorry, but I can't make it any easier for you to accept.
Re: Necessary vs. Sufficient……The eternal will of God is both necessary and sufficient to save all whom He wills to save.
It is necessary because without it, nothing would or could exist.
How are we suddenly debating the existence of the Universe????
Are you even following this thread?
It is sufficient because His will is all-wise, all-powerful and infallible in achieving His purposes.
How is a "will"...."All wise"?....are you listening to yourself? how is a "will" either "all wise" vs. (I assume) all stupid? Are "wills" either wise or un-wise?...You are making obvious and CLEAR category mistakes (mistakes Peter Kreeft would spot instantly btw). You're just preaching platitudes and hoping the idiotic elements will follow it. Well, here's some encouragement: I'm quite sure the positively stupid people who read Baptist Board think that your "Wise" will....is probably better than the Arminians' "un-wise" will...but it'll still be a massive category error and it will never make sense whether you say it, Kreeft says it, or Paul says it.......
You make a horrid category error here: and it wouldn't matter what your beliefs were..............your category error is
objectively wrong no matter what camp you belong to.
All whom the Father gives to Christ, WILL COME to Him, and those alone Christ will in nowise cast out.
TRUE !!!! actually:wavey: ....but it doesn't prove your point at all. You think it does, but it doesn't.
That's because
you don't comprehend logic either from Catholics like Peter Kreeft or Atheists like David Hume or Protestants like Ravi Zacharias:
I don't care if you remain a Calvinist all your life...I just know your logic sux, and you clearly don't know what you're talking about. Believe what you want...but, you still don't know the difference between a "necessary" and a "sufficient" condition. Your posts make that clear.
