I am not espousing "annihilism", as you will soon see. And if I get banned for posting what the scripture literally says, then so be it. It would just prove I'm more Baptist than some.
Neither Jesus or the Apostles saw anything other than a literal and eternal Hell.

Neither Jesus or the Apostles saw anything other than a literal and eternal Hell.

Therein lies the question: Why would a literal Jesus die a literal death on a literal cross to save people from a metaphorical Hell?

To deny the Biblical teaching of a literal, eternal Hell, as [Edit: Name Calling] is doing here, is to call into question the most essential foundation of the Gospel.

And satan is thrown into the pit for a 1000 years, and comes back in the end still alive?

Let me ask you something. Does this sound like the character of God:

The Life-Giver who delights in peace, joy, happiness, and mercy, the God who is called Love, also delights in preserving the lives of sinners for all eternity, so He can burn them in writhing flames of agony? He enjoys tormenting them with flames that they can never escape from, so they can live lives in absolute misery, both physically, and knowing true separation from God in their sorrowful hearts with regret as well?

Does that sound like something a loving God would do?

,Let me ask you something. Does this sound like the character of God:

what saith the scripture?
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

He enjoys tormenting them with flames

Why this profane thought about God?
11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
