Using the same interpretation that you do of 2 Thess. 2:13, you were chosen to go to California because to get there you had to go through Texas.
See, you keep saying that "why" you were chosen is because of "how" you are saved.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
Could "all" in this verse refer to all whose names were written in the book of life before the foundation of the world?
It couldn't mean all of humanity because we know that not all will be saved.
