That's in case you missed it the first time. You just said that.
I was just thinking the same thing (not about people on this forum, but about Texans deciding not to evacuate so that they can legally shoot someone...like a rare opportunity). I'm not saying this is the case, it's just something that popped into my mind reading the article. It seems like they want it to happen doesn't it. They are practically fantasizing about it.
Do I detect, perhaps, some Transference? It seems like they want it to happen doesn't it. They are practically fantasizing about it.
That is very sad.I was just thinking the same thing
Obviously I didn't.That's in case you missed it the first time.
Good. Then hang the bodies outside for the other looters to see.
Not really. The thought struck me as humorous. Not the flooding but the idea of Texans having looter parties, waiting for the thief to break in...disappointed when they dont. It would make for a black comedy. Like "The Last Supper" movie. That is very sad.

Tomato, tomahto. Let's just call it realism.Macabre is a better description for your thoughts.
I knew a preacher who visited prisons, and one time in a young offenders institution he was visiting a lad who said "When I get out, I am coming to rob you." The preacher replied, "I'll give you my address, but why would you risk coming back in here when if I have anything you want I'll give it to you?" On his next visit, the lad said, "When I get out I will visit you, but I won't steal anything." On his next visit, the lad said, "When I get out I will visit you, and I would like to give you something." The preacher said "That depends on where you got it."
He was a German Jewish Christian who escaped from Hitler's Reich before the 2nd WW.
Actually, no, He didn't.Didn't Jesus say something like "If somebody steals your shirt, give him your coat also?
Actually, no, He didn't.
You're mixing Matthew 5:40 and Luke 6:30.
Matthew says if someone sues you for your shirt, give them your coat also. Luke says if someone asks you for something, give it to them; and if someone takes your stuff, don't ask for it back.
Neither verse addresses looters, or those that place you and/or your family in danger while stealing what isn't theirs.
I'm not condoning wishing evil upon those that commit evil; but we also shouldn't shirk our Christian duty and responsibility to be good stewards over that which God has placed in our care.
If I was eager to kill, I would have killed 14 people. I convicted 14 people for Aggravated Assault on a peace officer. The use of deadly force was legally justified in each case. I used it in none of those occasions. What an insightful thread...
Pray you should never have to do what some of you seem eager for.

I have no problem with protecting yourself with a firearm but look at this thread man.
I don't think thread would stop many bullets, nor bind many looters.
