Just one single verse which says you are saved by faith alone will suffice.

Proverbs 16:6 ---> "Kindness and honour are sin’s purging; ever it is the fear of the Lord turns men away from harm."

Matthew 6:3-4 ---> "But when thou givest alms, thou shalt not so much as let thy left hand know what thy right hand is doing, so secret is thy almsgiving to be; and then thy Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward thee."

Luke 12:33-34 ---> "Sell what you have, and give alms, so providing yourselves with a purse that time cannot wear holes in, an inexhaustible treasure laid up in heaven, where no thief comes near, no moth consumes. Where your treasure-house is, there your heart is too."

Acts 10:4 ---> "'What is it, Lord?' he asked, gazing at him in terror. And he answered, 'Thy prayers and alms-deeds are recorded on high in God’s sight'."

Acts 10:30-31 ---> "And Cornelius said, 'Three days ago, at this very time, I was making my afternoon prayer in my house, when suddenly I saw a man standing before me, in white clothes, who said to me, Cornelius, thy prayer has been heard, thy almsdeeds have won remembrance in God’s sight.'"
is it saved by grace of Jesus, or by us adding our own efforts to His finished work?

Your Proverb's 16:6 is not speaking of man's kindness or honour. It's GOD"S mercy and truth [as some versions say] that brings sin's purging. MAN can do nothing to purge his own sin.

Your other verses - are they speaking to the righteous or the unrighteous? Before salvation or after?

Here are two verses [out of many] for your consideration?

Ephesians 2:8-9 = "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

Luke 7:50 = "And he {Jesus} said to the woman, 'Your faith has saved you - go in peace."

Proverbs 16:6 ---> Proverbs 16:6 By loving devotion and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns aside from evil.

Proverb 16 is talking about the heart of man. If verse 6 was referring to God, then it would mean God's faithfulness to Himself and fear of Himself atones for sin. God has no need to atone for sin, since He is sinless by His nature.

I'm sorry but neither of them say salvation is by faith alone. Let's look at them...

Ephesians 2:8-9 = "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

Ephesians 2:8-10 ---> "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

We are saved by grace and grace is NOT (an absolute negative) a work man does. Rather, it is a gift of God. This is Christianity 101. But notice what St. Paul does not say: He does not say we are saved by faith alone.

Notice also he says God hath ordained that we have good works.

Strike 1.

Luke 7:50 = "And he {Jesus} said to the woman, 'Your faith has saved you - go in peace."

Let's look at the verse in context of the scene and then we can see why Jesus said this to the woman...

Luke 7:44-50 ---> And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, 'Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.' And he said unto her, 'Thy sins are forgiven.' And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, 'Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.'"

Her faith was not alone; for she loved much and hence her sins were forgiven.

Strike 2.

You said you had 40 verses which state man is saved by faith alone. I hope the 38 remaining do in fact state what you claim they state.

Believing, having faith, practicing charity, forgiving others, being baptized, etc. are all things MAN does.

God provides the grace, which is efficacious. It moves within your freedom and it works.

Christianity 101.

Does God require a sinner to do anything else besides receiving Lord Jesus in order to save them?

Then what, you go back to the same old sin, and idols. Of course not. You see what God wants of you, and follow it. Since the scriptures are clear that no other day was made as the day of worship except the seventh day, and the Commandments show this with unblinking clarity to Christians. If they are fully aware that Sunday worship is not ordained by God or anywhere in the Bible or given by Christ or the apostles, and with full knowledge continue to transgress what is shown to them from scripture, will God wink at it, lets look at scripture......

Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

It shows that God allows for mankinds ignorance, but we have Christians who are aware of the history of Sunday worship. That it was the established day of festival, a pagan day to the gods in the pagan world. An how gradually they were brought in to bring up the number of 'converts' and brought the practice of the pagan festivals on Sunday with them into the church, and the bishops looked the other way as long as they had 'converts' to show they were more influential or had more numbers than other bishops.

Now from scripture we see the people of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, including Jesus Christ Himself (e.g. Luke 4:16), observed the Sabbath. No where in the Bible, including after Christ's resurrection, will you find people observing the first day of the week, Sunday, as a replacement for the Sabbath.

So if Christians, knowing that Sunday is not the Sabbath, and knowing the Commandments show what is transgression or iniquity/sin, and clearly show what day is the Sabbath, continue to transgress what God commands, what will happen to them when Christ comes...

Sabbath appeared first time in history when God gave it to Israel thru Moses, for just them, and now under NC, Apostles moved it to Lords day Sunday! Sda said some Pope changed that day, but earliest christian writing from same time period and from ECF showed ALL did Sunday as new day under NC! Even Sda has admitted all churches celebrated Sunday by end of first century, early second!

It certainly is a gift from God, we just accept it.

The Creator made it for man from the start....

Genesis 2:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Nope, as n o other nations in history other then Israel was commanded to keep it, so how could it be Universal?

I wonder if Christ will come on a Sunday morning in the USA - just to see how many are in church!

If I choose to worship on Sunday, will the Grace of God in Christ Jesus blot away all of my sins still? or will I be lost again?

THE SABBATH WAS GIVEN ONLY TO ISRAEL ! No Seven-Day-Adlibber can show me one verse of Scripture telling any gentile to keep the sabbath.
Amen! The Word of God makes it quite clear that Sabbath observance was a sign between God and Israel: "The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested." (Exodus 31:16-17)

In Deuteronomy 5, Moses restates the Ten Commandments to the next generation of Israelites. Here after commanding Sabbath observance in verses 12–14, Moses gives the reason the Sabbath was given to the nation Israel: "Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day." (Deuteronomy 5:15)

History shows that God did not command any other nation to keep the sabbath, if essential to get saved, did He just condemn all save Jews under OT to Hell?

Yes, Seventh-day Adventists teach that the near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday. - Bible Truth Versus Adventist Truth - Mark of the Beast
Must keep Sabbath to stay saved, and must view EW as inspired prophetess, and Jesus might have already "investigated you" in the heavenly Temple and you do not know will be destroyed after death!
