the problem with Lordship Salvation is that one can never know if the requirements for proving one has lived up to the demands of Lordship Salvation have been achieved...

what if i love the Lord with only 99% of my heart?

Your are either a born-again child of God, sealed for His purposes by the Holy Spirit, or you remain a child of Satan. God does not save in percentages or distribute salvation based on how well the non-repentant or partially-repentant (99%) sinner performs his work assignments.

[Isa 64:6 KJV] 6 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Praise God. He has provided all the means and methods necessary to keep and maintain the proper spiritual relationship within His family!

Thanks for kindness and courage.
Brother Van
Lol....I had to re-read this post 4 times. I am not shy about going after your posts quite often. You know that is so. I was stunned at the clarity and solid instructions you offered in this response.
You walked him through his own questions and offered solid counsel that if he is sincere, he will be helped by your response.
If I can be critical of you, I can also sincerely commend you with this quality post.

As you acknowledged you are not sinless, the couple have also acknowledged they are not sinless. Moreover, they acknowledge their live-in relationship is also sinful. Why would they lose assurance if they continued their relationship?
Fornicators are not Christians yet, much less ministers.

Does cleansing make you sinless?
yes our sins are gone via the blood of Christ.
so also with present and future tense sins.
confessing them as we traverse the time continuum acknowledges this fact so that we receive power to mortify the flesh and remain/return to fellowship.

Does mortification mean you are sinless?

no - the blood of Christ makes me sinless,

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

By His blood God sees you sinless or you are sinless in all your actions?
