Thanks for kindness and courage. One of your best posts ever.
the problem with Lordship Salvation is that one can never know if the requirements for proving one has lived up to the demands of Lordship Salvation have been achieved...
what if i love the Lord with only 99% of my heart?
correct - Lordship Salvation depends on me and my loyalty.Your are either a born-again child of God, sealed for His purposes by the Holy Spirit, or you remain a child of Satan. !
Lol....I had to re-read this post 4 times. I am not shy about going after your posts quite often. You know that is so. I was stunned at the clarity and solid instructions you offered in this response. Thanks for kindness and courage.
Brother Van
I didn't say it the scripture did.
i don't know how God can be any plainer.
HE DOESN'T WANT HIS CHILDREN TO SIN BUT IF WE DO WE CAN COME FOR CLEANSING.
When you aren't sinless, how do you expect others to forsake sinning?Nope. but one cannot claim that if refusing to deal with known sinning!
Fornicators are not Christians yet, much less ministers. As you acknowledged you are not sinless, the couple have also acknowledged they are not sinless. Moreover, they acknowledge their live-in relationship is also sinful. Why would they lose assurance if they continued their relationship?

no but it replaces it with another impossible task.Does Lordship salvation bring back the moral law of moses in a different name and hinder people from trusting in His grace?
yes our sins are gone via the blood of Christ.Does cleansing make you sinless?
Isn't the "another impossible task" the same moral law of moses? How is it different?no but it replaces it with another impossible task.
yes our sins are gone via the blood of Christ.
so also with present and future tense sins.
confessing them as we traverse the time continuum acknowledges this fact so that we receive power to mortify the flesh and remain/return to fellowship.
no - the blood of Christ makes me sinless,Does mortification mean you are sinless?
any requirement other than faith is suchIsn't the "another impossible task" the same moral law of moses? How is it different?
no - the blood of Christ makes me sinless,
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Sorry, got him mixed up with R.C. Sproul. All white, old, grey-haired men look the same to me.Why did he doubt? Reason?
its not an either orBy His blood God sees you sinless or you are sinless in all your actions?
which post did you read that in? where did anyone say they became a Christian by their sinless works? So have you become a christian by your sinless works? Are you perfectly holy as the Father is perfect (Mathew 5:48)?
