They should have been removed until they got their act together and then they could have been restored to the church... I know of where I speak because something but not of this nature happened to me... After a time when I showed true repentance, I was restored in full fellowship... To many time we dwell on condemnation but if the member ask for forgiveness, we often forget there is also restoration... Spurgeon called the church, "A Hospital For Sinners"... We put ourselves above others, we are not and we ALL walk with feet of clay... Brother Glen
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
But we must also follow the guideline set up for the church in Matthew 18
Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
Should they be removed on moral grounds?
