I have to say, very sensible. I wish the politicians were so sensible.

I will add that IMO people should always wear a mask when within 6 feet. Courtesy if nothing else, but I do think masks work...I see some at church with face shields, that's smarter.
Yeah. N95 and P100 works. Grannys quilting material doesnt. We need to follow the science and not merely do things to make others feel good.

Went into a Home Depot today without wearing one... honestly forgot to wear one and you know what, it was liberating. You gotta remember, I had to wear one for a solid month while confined inside a hospital with my bride. But this has got to stop somewhere, so I’m going to stop wearing these things unless told to.

Well, you are I are just 2 peas on a pod.

The pastors job is teacher and so is the parent... that is they’re responsibility. BTW, I don’t see the institution of SS Mandated anywhere in scripture .... could you point that out to me?

1) For kids who do not have parents come to church - who will teach them
Granted, the pastor COULD - but a SS teacher could be very more effective.

2) Is SS mandated- On the other hand - Can you show me where SS in the Bible is PROHIBITED?
Okay - if a church does not want SS - that is up to them. I think it's a poor decision, but not necessary against Scripture.

I looked it up on this website,
Industry guidance to reduce risk - Coronavirus COVID-19 Response

Blueprint for a Safer Economy - Coronavirus COVID-19 Response

Looking at this, California is killing it's entire consumer sector at the same time they limit church attendance. I would be more worried the economy will implode for decades than having to do outdoor services. This shocks me at how foolish it is economically. I'm in shock, I'll be back.

Not mention the hoards that are just moving out of Cali to other states

We never stopped mtg. We will not stop mtg.

We do ask that all be respectful of others desires in distancing and masks

In facr we have one side of the bldg dedicated each way

We do not have SS so its a moot point

I was raised to sit quietly and take in the words of the pastor ( what I could comprehend) then there came a time, usually at dinner, when we had frank discussions about the sermon and any other teaching... questions were encouraged. The parents involvement was critical to the learning process. And this was a Roman Catholic educational tradition! Trust me, I know RC doctrines, can still recite prayers, songs, scriptures supporting doctrine etc. With parents doing teaching and pastors and elders reinforcing and clarifying, I’ve seen a higher level of religious education than an hour a week SS class.

My children knew more than the SS teachers at 2 of the churches.

We homeschooled and catechised our kids and had some family devotionals

I was asked to leave one lol

I applaud you primarily because it’s up to you as parents to raise your children up to learning, not some SS teacher that’s with them for an hour a week.

Now is a good time to answer the question I asked previously - Who teaches church kids whose parents are not Christians?

as Far as music and missions see this link
The pastor is responsible, as well as the elders. But if they are not Christians then wouldn’t it be the responsibility of the Holy Spirit? Why should a Christian church be involved in teaching non Christians?
