Mitochondrial diseases RARELY have cures or even treatments. There comes a point where subjecting anyone to further treatment is NOT appropriate. Truth is, if it wasn't for the technology, the child would have peacefully passed on when he became too weak to breathe...did you ever think that by putting the child on life support we are thwarting God's will?
No.

What do you think?

It would be good if you gave an opinion and then ask questions. Otherwise it appears you are simply playing games. Give us your opinion first. Thanks.
I am merely pointing ou the logical implication of what you said.

The bottom line is that the state should not commit the child to a death sentence and what is going on here is evil and pragmatism has no place in this situation. Again it is pure evil.

This is the kind of thing that government run health care gets you. The government gets to control every facet of your life. This health care system is pure evil as well.

Our govt. uses our taxes to subsidize the killing of unborn children. About half of those who vote seem to think this is O.K. This is consistent with an amoral society.

Look out elderly, we are next.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

this is a really sad case, but could be used a precautionary tale for Americans - the parents wanted to take this baby here for some experimental surgery on their own dime, and the UK and EU courts said no. They wouldn't even let them take their own child home to die. Less of an euthanasia case than a parental rights case in a Euronanny state, so much for socialized medicine being compassionate.

Please go google "The Hyde Amendment" that prohibits the use of tax money to fund abortions. Please...learn something and stop spreading this falsehood.

He won't learn nor stop the falsehood. He is pro birth, but not pro life. Once born he cares little or nothing about them. I do not believe he is a bad or evil person, just shortsighted and unthinking about the ramifications of ignoring or being against helping the poor, ill and elderly who need help. He seems to think about one topic only and there is so much more to a well run life, family and society.

Blessings.

And so, if that is true and I am not sure it is or isn't, it is fine with you for women who would otherwise be diagnosed with cancer or other diseases to go undiagnosed and to die?
No and I have said in past posts that in my view Planned Parenthood should be disbanded and another organization formed to take up all their services apart from abortion.

I've never never said I defended their position. And I will not play your infantile game.
You likened their position to "nature taking it's course". If you notice, I'm not playing a game. I'm saying that position is Godless. There is no defense for it.

Oh for crying out loud. You are the one who wants the kid dead. Your post is a complete crock. You don't get to support pulling the plug and then call someone else's pro-life stance into question.

It's called eugenics and it goes "hand and glove" with abortion from the DNC the Party of Death (abortion, euthanasia, eugenics).

Sad but true. That's why I constantly need reminding that their's is the "compassionate" argument.
