Most drinkers are moderate

Who is arguing that it is not true that some people drink too much some times?

As I said, if you drink or not is up to you. When they drink to much, they can be causing me trouble, I don't like being around drunks and I don't care for drunk drivers. If one drink and does not get drunk or drive their car it is fine with me.
Ask your friends who drink if they have ever got drunk or driven when they had to much to drink. I know from the ones I've talk to, most say they have a few times in their life, even a few have got DWI's.

How many moderate eaters NEVER eat too much from time to time? What's your point?

I don't know, but an over eater has never crashed their car in my front yard, or crashed into a family member and killed them or run into my trailer while I was parked and killed themselves.
My point is drinking can be dangerous to others as well as self.

Yea, but Bob the number one killer of men in America is not alcoholism or drunk driving accidents- it's heart disease.

More tears are shed at funeral over heart disease than over drunkenness.

More money is spent in hospitals over heart disease than drunkenness.

The sorrow index is not lower for heart disease than drunkenness.

Let's not pretend that abusers of alcohol are bringing about more death than abusers of food.

And if we are to follow your reason we should outlaw all public vehicle driving. Because how many people who drive moderately at some point in their lives drive too fast?

The reasoning is erred.

So does cheese.

So what?

So does sugar?

What's your point?

Yea just as I thought. Anything less than totally sober is drunk. By the way can you legally drive "buzzed"?

Where in the Bible is the legal limit?

Should you be driving buzzed?

No.

Does that mean you can't be buzzed in your own home?

Of course not.

Now, where did you get that definition for what it means to be drunk?

Is buzzed sober?

Very possibly.

It's not like there's a line where once the very milisecond you go from .0006 percent BAL to .0007 percent BAL you are suddenly drunk.

It is a process.

There is one hundred percent sober then there's 99 percent sober and 90 and 80 and 75 and so on.

It's not 100 percent sober and then when you are 99% sober- NOW YOU'RE DRUNK!!!

Do you see how silly that line of reasoning is?

I see how silly your line of reasoning is. Your busted. The whole point of these inane threads is because you want to defend your buzz. Its not about wrong preaching or teetotalism. All the hububb is about you wanting to be able to get buzzed with a clear conscience.

Good luck with that.

Just For Everybody's Consideration

Alcoholic beverages have been NOTHING BUT A CURSE to me and my entire family....As far as I know to this day I am the only one of my surviving family members that is saved and it is ONLY the grace of God that it (alcohol) didn't destroy me as well. Anybody that would would try to name the name of Christ as a credible witness while still drinking is deceived. It is just an attempt to cling to the desires of the flesh. It will destroy your testimony with the lost (or the saved) both in and out of one's family. I know that is strong but it is NOT an opinion,(if you want to call it that..well..OK) but rather a conviction! I will NEVER back away from that. I got out of fellowship with the Lord for a long time and it was partly the drinking I did while in that condition that did more to destroy my personal testimony for Christ with my lost family than ANYTHING else. Don't fool yourself....abandon that trash before it is too late! Don't be foolish! ( And I am NOT calling anybody a FOOL.....)

Now...for everybody's consideration I direct your attention to the following list of 75 Bible References on Drinking Alcohol....click the link and don't drink (no...I'm not a poet!)

Nonsense.

Your story is no worse than mine but I didn't let my circumstances steal my brains.

That would be like losing two several family members in a few different gruesome accidents and saying that anybody who would still get behind a wheel and call themselves a Christian is deceived.

Utter nonsense.

I especially like this one:

Matthew 24:48-51 - A drinking servant is unprepared for his Lord’s return

And we all know HE could return at any time...Watch for Him!!

Gee....I noticed that Luke has no response to this part of your post.
