We haven't received our bodily resurrection yet. Just the spiritual.

No, you are changing what Paul said again.

Paul said a spiritual body. You do not have any different body whatsoever, do you? One dies because of sin. You still have a body of flesh and blood, and don't say that you don't. You're a nice guy but you're no angel. :Sleep:Sleep:Sleep

Paul disagrees with you.

Wow, I thought that the Transfiguration was before this speech at the gates of hell. So you are saying that it was yet to come?
The transfiguration followed within of about 7 days of Jesus telling them that. Matthew 16:28, Matthew 17:1-8. Mark 9:1-8. Luke 9:27-36.
Matthew and Mark say after 6 days. Luke says 8, counting when Jesus told them of it, and counting that day of the tranfiguration. 1 + 6 + 1 = 8.

Thanks for straightening me out on that point. Peter's dumbest idea was to build on that site.

Scripture says Jesus will reign on earth with His saints for a thousand years, so all disagreement and controversy should be over except tfor those who don't believe Scripture.

It's plain this'll be on earth, as the beast's EARTHLY army will try to attack Jesus when he returns, and at the end of the millenium, Satan will bring an EARTHLY army against the 'camp of the saints'. Thus, that camp will be on EARTH.

This is plainly in Scripture & not symbolic. Thus, the argument shoulda been over before it even began.

To me either or the Primitive Baptist brethren I grew up with... To us the 1,00 year reign is metaphorical not literal... We do not believe in a rapture or a millennal reign but we do believe in the Resurrection of the just and unjust, when the Lord comes again, to take us home... I've been watching brethren chase these rabbit trails since I joined here many, many, many years ago... They haven't convinced me yet... Brother Glen:)
No need to worry, it will pan out in the end

Where does it say He reigns while on earth?

Quiz: when do believers receive their glorified bodies? a. In the resurrection. b. they already did but things didn't work out too well. c. when they freely choose to accept them.

Here's what you yourself quoted on that subject, 1689:

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 (KJV) So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

You yourself, 1689, still have a natural body, and I hope that you are feeding it three times a day and giving it eight hours of sleep, etc., etc., etc.

A spiritual body, 1689, is what Jesus had after the resurrection. Remember he could go through walls, etc. Can you do that? No, because you have a natural body. There is no middle ground--it is either or, which I am sure that you agree.

I have no dog in this fight. It's between you and Paul.

The intent of this thread was for those who do not hold to an actual millennium (Revelation 20:4-6) to explain how one comes to that point of view in a step by step explanation. The only view I undertand and can explain is the pre-millennial view.

I can't speak for Paul but he did only list two types of bodies. If you have a spiritual body, 1689, why are you replying to me since I just got through feeding and watering my natural body?
