To be certain, the congress (both House and Senate) relinquished their powers to the Executive branch, and the unelected federal employees, several decades ago.
Where in the Constitution does it say that? really Canadyjd, you are loosing it!
Then stop printing money, stop the constant proxy warfares that are bleeding the taxpayers dry, craft strict Austerity programs with Congress. But to flagrantly disregard this nation’s Constitution is tyrannical. As recently as January 20th of this year, Donald J. Trump took this Oath…..

Ya know, I’m an old man now and I’m retired but I recall all the stories of my great grandfather coming to this country from the Soviet block and moving to NE PA to work in the coal mines then repairing the water pumps then starting a business with his brother to repair all the mine companies water pumps and he made good money doing it. Come the economic depression Wall Street Crash he took his money and bought a farm in East Exeter Pennsylvania took all his grandchildren in and put them to work on the farm and kept them alive, fed,clothed. I guess that song “Buy Dirt” is appropriate here…to me it is anyway! So come spring, I till my garden plot, plant my crops and bring in my harvest. I also raise my chickens and they provide me with fresh eggs and with their poop I fertilize the plants with …nothing goes to waste. I just hope I’ve instilled in my son who is in Oregon now with his family the importance of work, growing your own food and living free and independent. And maybe, just maybe he will consider buying some property out there and working some land so he can pass on work ethic and independence to them as well.

The checks and balances remain in place. The courts are reviewing everything DT is doing. The House just passed a budget and it’s going to the Senate.
DT hasn’t declared himself to be King. The military isn’t occupying cities. Marshall law has not been the declared. The constitution hasn’t been suspended.
The hyperbole is flowing freely around here.

TDS is a real thing. It blinds people to the good things that are happening.
Trumps opening the books for audit is a beacon to all the socialist regimes around the world, it’s showing up their waste and fraud, other nations would love to see this happen for them.
Europe and the UK aren’t part of the free world, that’s the point. They are rejecting the results of free elections, imprisoning people for speech and are acting like authoritarians.
Vance gave good examples of this.
Trump is pragmatic regarding Russia, it will devolve into nuclear conflict, too much is at stake for Russia to lose the war.
Russian pride will not allow a loss, their only option is to escalate and escalation with a nuclear state is the greatest stupidity.
If you enjoy breathing lung fulls of earths sweet air, you will not be on the side of escalation of this war, and the stupid idea of Ukraine “ winning “.

Sure Russia is at fault, but the war must end before serious escalation occurs.
No. Trump has been warning about China for a long time, Trump even warned Europe about Russia telling them to increase NATO budgets since 2017 and warning Germany of its dependance on Russian gas, they laughed at him. They aren’t laughing now.
The ball cap getting around now saying Trump was right about everything, is so true.

The House passed a budget blueprint. There is a long way to go between passing a plan and passing all of the appropriations bills and reconciling any differences with the Senate. The Congress has only passed ALL of its appropriations bill on time under the current system(which went into effect in fiscal year 1977) only in fiscal years 1977, 1989, 1995, 1997. Every other fiscal year has required at least one continuing resolution.

I do remember a national media figure wishing Obama could be a dictator so he didn’t have to worry about the constitution.
The difference is, DT is making fun of the haters and the other guy seriously wanted O to be a dictator.

Do you think it was wise, considering all of the concerns raised by those who are not a member of the MAGA, about Donald Trump and those around him, and authoritarianism? Is that really what the MAGA is after - not stopping inflation, or increasing economic growth, or stopping what perhaps might turn out to be approaching stagflation - but to simply just act silly and irritate the non-MAGA, to just exhibit the mentality and emotion of a first grader?
Forget you, Trump and that mook Musk don’t even scratch the surface so they are achieving nothing…this is all just absurd theatre that is frankly comedian behavior. Let’s see how it goes in a few months as the citizens see that whatever he does, their cost of living continues to go uphill. Tell ya what, Clinton and FDR had the courage to start taxing these fat cat rich (also stop giving them tax free rides) and that’s what started balancing the economy so add that to your bag of tricks Trump if you got the balls. Instead this pipsqueak is now selling USA citizenry to oligarchy $5M… how pathetic, how disrespectful to people who have entered based on hard work and effort who chose to earn their path to citizenry vs buying it on the open market. The Germans told the world that they turned off the tap to Russian gas, yet when the pipeline was taken out, millions of tons of gas flowed out into the sea.
Germany was playing everyone for fools. Germany was pro Russia. The Germans first generous contribution to Ukraine begging for weapons, was helmets, a joke to say, cover your heads for crap storm coming.
Germany and Europe in general have nothing but contempt for the USA, they don’t deserve the protection America affords them.

Any wonder why there is distain…but not to worry, there is plenty of oil and food that the BRIC countries at much better prices. Now if Germany, or any of the other European countries …Even Canada & Denmark feels pressured by Donny Diapers, they can always leave the G7 for BRIC and be welcomed in…no problems mate.

To irritate the Trump haters who have been making the ridiculous claims for 8 years that he wants to be a dictator/king.
He is the only person actually taking on the wasteful spending, not just talking about ending the “waste, fraud and abuse”, which politicians of both parties have said they would stop for decades, and then put into place the laws/policies that allow the “waste, fraud and abuse” to continue unabated.
As you have pointed out in many threads you have started, the national debt ($38+ Trillion) is out of control and will ruin this country if not stopped.
If you cannot applaud DT for stopping millions of tax dollars supporting drag shows in Peru, then you would never believe he is capable of doing anything good for this country.
That is not healthy.
