Try hard to not use man's sense of justice when dealing with God's Word. Our justice is not the same as HIs. Our sense of justice falls way short of God's justice.

Where do you think ours came from considering nothing good comes from within man?

Where do good morals come from? Where does our conscience came from?

So you think that our version or view of justice is the same as God's view?

Are your morals and conscience perfect? Are your morals the same as other people's morals? Did God give some better morals than others?

Web, God's judgement, His justice, along with all His attributes are perfect. Therefore I think you would agree that ours is not. Do you understand where I am coming from now? Our sense of justice is not perfect as His is. We are guilty of trying to justify many things we do, say or think, even through His Word. For example........ my wife can justify buying another pair of shoes......... the 400th pair :) because they were on sale.

Great back and forth here!! One question, what does free will of man really mean? Can unregenerate man choose of his own volition to have faith in Christ? To me, free will means totally free, without constraint or restraint. Is that so? What about bondage of sin?

This is exactly the problem with those who hold to free will. Many, not all, think that God does not intervene in any way or that would make them robots. They think God's providence works in only one way. In other words, if God saved someone from certain death by causing them to miss a flight that ended up crashing, they would say that was by God's providence. In the same illustration, they would say that God did not cause another person who caught the flight to die. I didn't word that just right, but I think you get the point.
God is sovereign or He isn't. Men are free to act within the bounds of the freedom God gives them. God does have a master plan. All things are decreed by God. God's plan will be accomplished.

Not sure what you mean Amy, but I am glad that the Lord compels some people to come into salvation. If He had not compelled me, I would not be here placing my faith in Christ alone.

yeah, but if you go buy some shoes it will be because God decreed that I would use the illustration of my wife getting her 400th pair on sale!
so is it really your decision or is it God putting it in your mind to help the economy and go buy another pair of shoes? And tell us Amy........... how many pairs do you have? :)

Yes. God definitely put it in my mind (and your wife's mind) to buy the 401st pair of shoes. So, you cannot stop us! It has been decreed!
