But you have a pre- versus post quickened state of the same spirit.
Perhaps this is one area we disagree.

I do not believe that there is a quickening of the same spirit at all. I believe that the indwelling of God's Spirit (Christ living in us) is what constitutes spiritual life.

It should be obvious, it did not enter by Adam's sin as that is called "death" and that had to be the condition of Adam's spirit when he sinned. Thus prior to his sin his condition of spirit could not be characterized as "dead." To imagine that God created his spirit in anything other than the condition that characterizes life is not only unthinkable, as his very spirit came from God's own being and any spiritual condition derived directly from God must be characterized as LIFE as nothing but LIFE can characterize God. The answer here is starring everyone in the face, his SPIRIT LIFE was MUTABLE and the conditions are set forth in clear langauge that he would "die" at the point of sin and death entered at that point. Conditions made his life conditional and thus his spirit, body and soul were all mutable with regard to life received directly from God.
I disagree. Adam had a human spirit which was alive in the context of it being "of the flesh" or human. Spiritual life is Christ in us as we see in Ezekiel when God says that He will give us a new spirit and a new heart, He will put His Spirit in us (I do not think that this is a list of several things but different ways of looking at the same re-creation in Christ).

But you have a pre- versus post quickened state of the same spirit. If the latter constitutes spiritual life then the former must constitute spiritual death.

But, I see a deeper problem to your view. Adam had to enter into the state of being "spiritually dead" from a previous state where his spiritual condition could not be characterized by what these texts constitute as spiritual deadness.

His "spirit" came directly from God's own being and you can't believe that anything derived spiritually from God does not consitute spiriutal life. Death entered with his sin, and that had to include being "spiritually dead" or else there is no source for that CONDITION of spirit.

Will your spirit quickened spirit man ultimately need another quickening?

I think your theory can easily be disproven by simply asking what did God's Spirit "quicken" (make alive). Jesus answers this clearly in John 3:6 demonstrating that it is our spirit that was quickened. Your theory does not require that as it requires only spiritual union with Christ's spirit.

You are most certainly wrong as Jesus clearly states that what the Spirit made alive was our "spirit" and thus our spirit transitioned between a "dead" state to a living state.

Moreover, not only is our "spirit' the object of quickening but the "dead" condition of our spirit is transformed by this quickening to a completely opposite condition. The Spirit of Christ never changes and it is our spirit that undergoes this change from a "dead" state to a "living" state.

Again, I have provided several verses stating that this life is "Christ in us", "Christ living in us", "God's Spirit in us", and "Christ" Himself. I understand if you choose to deny those passages, but for context please provide the verses you are referencing.

We have the same human spirit as Adam. You can't possibly deny that his human spirit became "dead in tresspasses and sin" at that point when "death" entered the world (rom.5:12). Thus, his spirit had to in the OPPOSITE state of "death" meaning his spirit was received directly from God as a LIVING spirit in mutable union with God and death was regarded as CONDITIONAL.

We know his spirit became "dead in tresspasses and sins" at the point death entered the world and therefore it transitioned to that state from a state OPPOSITE from "death" and the ONLY state the Bible provides that is OPPOSITE of death is LIFE. There are NO OTHER BIBLICAL OPTIONS

We have the same human spirit as Adam. I agree. Where we disagree is I believe this spirit is not renewed but recreated. I believe God yanks that old sucker out and gives us one which is of God.

Seriously? You believe that verse nullifies that spiritual life is only in Christ?

You know I did not say or mean that! I said the object of quicking - making alive - is the human spirit and this verse proves it is the object of quickening. Now, HOW it is done is where spiritual union with Christ comes into view. You are changing the subject. I am speaking of WHAT is quickened not HOW it was quickened.

That is simply false because Adam's spirit was in a spiritual condition OPPOSITE to death prior to death entering the world by that one event and it did not cease to exist after sinning but entered the STATE OF EXISTENCE described in ephesians 2:1-3; 4:18-19. Your "recreation" demands cessation of existence prior to new birth and yet it is that very EXISTING spirit in that "SINFUL" condition that is being quickened. Your view makes no sense because it absolutely contradicts clear scriptures that demand a previous existing SPIRITUAL CONDITION prior to quickening.

yes his original human spirit was able to commune with God, when sin entered he hid his nakedness, well at least he tried to hide what cannot be hidden from God.. To deny the death was Spiritual first, does not make any sense as to what other time was spiritual death[not the absense of life] but hostile death, and rebellion, and emnity, introduced to all men.? there is no other answer, and there need not be as it is clear from scripture.

We know his spirit became "dead in tresspasses and sins" at the point death entered the world and that is an EXISTING SPIRITUAL CONDITION, therefore it transitioned to that state from a state OPPOSITE from "death" and the ONLY state the Bible provides that is OPPOSITE of death is LIFE. There are NO OTHER BIBLICAL OPTIONS. Scripture only contrasts death to life there is no other option and your view requires another option or complete cessation of the spirit which contradicts plain explicit scriptuers (Eph. 2:1-3; 4:18-19).

Adam prefall did not need a new heart before the fall.as in ezk36....it was not tainted by sin .
