I'd like to throw my two cents in on how this board is going. In the time I have been here I have seen the attitude of the members ebb and flow just as happens in the real world. Give it some time and the board will get back to normal. All we can do is to not join in the fray.

I would also like to thank you all for your prayers. Jeanne needs as much prayer as she can get right now.

I'm afraid that I've had my share in sort of bashin' France for not enterin' the war--and being ticked off at President Bush and Mister Tony Blair.--but hey, if they don't want no part of this war--I suppose its up to them--but I ain't gonna boycott them(I wouldn't know if I were eatin' French Fries or just plain ole fried taters--makes no difference to me--about the only thing I know that comes from France is lots of ladies perfumes and Peppy La Pew!! And I ain't against but one of those--guess!!

Give you an example though of the love that the French have for their homeland--during the retreat that the Brits had going on at Dunkirk--a good many of those rescued were French soldiers. They were taken off the beaches of Dunkirk and had safe passage to Great Britian! Once safe in England--a great majority of the Frenchmen chose to return to France--knowin' she was now occupied by mindless Nazi's--they couldn't stand watchin' as France burned just over the horizon--so they chose to return and many went "underground"--freedom fighters, resistance workers--at every turn of the clock doin' something to slow the ebb and flow of dirty Nazism!

If an American, Canadian, or English soldier "fell" in battle--those around him knew who he was--if a French "underground" worker was caught--to aid in the continueing struggle for freedom for the rest of France and the world--even that underground worker's own family, friends, and next door neighbor refused to identify or claim aquaintances with the fallen comrade!! Nazi SS--"Who is this man??" Fellow Frenchman--"Never saw him before in all my life!" Luger is drawn from holster! End of story!

Hey Bill!

Did you have rough weather yesterday? We had a tornado here around 3:30 pm. The power went out and didn't come back on until sometime in the middle of the night!

First time we've sat at the kitchen table with a kerosene lamp for a looooong time.

It has been sunny and in the 80s...getting down to 24 tonight.

WHERE IS SPRING?????

I am afraid Bill, Jon is not coming back. And I went and read the post that he questioned. I thought it was awful.

There was nothing about being a Christian in any of the Post but Wisdom Seekers, and Jonmagee's. I wish now I would have went to that topic. Truthfully, I avoided it, because it was posted by Dr. Bob. I did not want to argue or fight.

Now, not only Jonmagee is not on the board, but several others aren't. There was no example of Christian love, forgiveness, teaching, or respect, where exactly was that Christian Love. I read all the post, not just some. I was ashamed of some I had really come to respect and know. Shoot fire, there was going to be a hanging that night, come hell or high water!

When those people went back to their homes, Dorms, rooms, or wherever it is they lay their heads, what message did they lay down with?

There is shame when Christians act like heathens. There is shame when Christians have hate in them like a pagan world. No excuse is a good excuse. I really am totally in disgust of how people acted, and how they are still acting. No regard that they have really hurt some people.

How can people representing themselves as Christians; God's child, reach a world, when they cannot even type "I am sorry", or "I love you", or "I realize you do not understand so I forgive you". How can you be Christians, and show no compassion or love for others, even those in other countries.

Where was your example? You are a living stone! Every time someone passes by, you should be telling of all the things God has done in your lives. You should be telling how God plucked you out of a sinful world, and set you up right, in His glorious righteousness, Jesus Christ.

"Well he/she was talking about our President, or our Country." So what. You were talking about him/her. He/she is a person. He/she reacted to wanting some dignity left for him/her. People all around the world are talking about our President.

You are all the same people in the "Lord in Vain" topic, who say you really wouldn't say anything, because that person was lost. You would ask them to please not say it. But in the same mouth, you would condem a person because he was not American, he was French. If only you would have defended God as good, or well, as you did President Bush.

I hope this is how everyone wanted it. Because really good people, really good Christians have left the board. And this is sad. A vessel has been broken.

Thank you Wisdom Seeker and Jonmagee. I am sorry I avoided the post, I should have been there. I did not know that was what the thread was about, until too late.

We can continue to pray for each other.

Dear Lord,

We praise you and worship you. We thank you for all our many blessings.

We ask for your forgiveness and guidance. Times are very troubling for us and we need You even more.

Please give us protection and keep us in your love so that we can demonstrate Christian Love to others by not being offended by others or offend others.

Many times we do not intend to offend and we do not know what is in another's heart. Guide and Protect Us.

In Jesus Precious Name, we pray. Amen

It is sad Sherrie. It's also sad that people reported it and the moderators apparently allowed it continue? I don't know what to think about that. I would like to add that Gwyneth should also be added to Jon and Wisdom Seeker. Although her posts were very short, she showed her disappointment in the annimosity there. So, thank you Gwyneth.

I did not get involved in the thread, because I didn't see that anyone was listening to Wisdom Seeker or Jon Magee and I find that when I get involved in things like this, I am the one who gets hurt. So, I stayed away.

I am very sorry that Jon has gone. I really had grown fond of his gentle demeanor and his charity towards others.

Sherrie, you said that there were others who decided to leave. Would you mind sharing with me who they were? I would like to pray for them, even if I might not be able to pray with them.

God Bless You,
Charlotte

It sounds like moderators do nothing, but I assure you, much is done in the background. It is unethical to reveal just who said what, but please trust me when I say that moderators do consider certain actions and get involved in the background. We don't always agree, and sometimes we compromise, but the end goal is always the best needs of the Board.

It is difficult at times to know when to step in and cut something off. We are then accused of denying certain rights. We can't always cut off things we find distasteful or personal, and this can also be a problem when it comes to editing or locking a topic. So, please bare with us and we will do our best to serve, first the Board and then your interests as they serve the whole.

Cheers, and God bless,

Jim,

Hey, Thankful! How could I forget???? I guess all the other board "singles" are out on the town tonite--Diane and her hubby probably drivin' in to Atlanta--catch a Braves Exibition game or something--

My wife and girl are gone into Jackson--there was a stage play at one of the churches in town and somebody had given her tickets. My boy and I are here--I just got finished washin' dishes(by hand, no dishwasher!)

Well, I've got tomatos planted--with about 65 more left to plant--I've got corn comin' up and I will soon need a rain--

Preachin' tomorrow on "The Battle for the Home" Matthew 5: 27-31 Folks! The biggest battlefield in the world is not in Iraq! Its your home! And all of the artillery of hell is pointed in your direction!! There's nothin' out there worth havin' that I would want to loose my marriage for! There's nothin' out there worth havin' that I would trade my kids for!! Its not worth it!

More later!

Betty, My granddaughters live in Florida. The older one always comes to Canada for the summer. She was afraid we didn't want her here this summer because of all the anti-Canadian remarks floating around Florida now. We had to phone and personally invite her up. Wife will fly down in June, pick her up and fly her back until July.

Always look forward to that.

Cheers,

Jim

Ninety-nine!

You wouldn't so happen to have tried "snowbirdin'", have you?? My wife and I lived down in Florida early in our ministry and they'd drive down by the droves--some would make their way into our church--and we loved the fellowship!

They'd give Canadian news and weather--every hour on the hour for those who were homesick!!

Blackbird,
Florida is not my favourite place. We used to winter in Dunedin for a few weeks, but later went to Georgia, which we preferred. I haven't been to the USA, except short trips to Syracuse since about 1990.

Cheers,

Jim

To my dear friends on this thread, I took the same route as Jon this morning and I resigned all responsibilities on this Board.

If I post, it will be on this forum, but it will be as a regular poster and nothing else.

God be with you,

Jim

Awww Jim, I'm so sorry to hear this news. I so much look forward to your posts. You always give a concise, honest answer (even if I don't agree sometimes), and you are always kind. You are a great moderator and will be missed in that capacity too.

If all the good cowboys start leaving the board; what will be left??? If you take all the good out; the evil will prevail.

Please reconsider; but if you can't stay right now, at least I'm glad you will still be posting with us.

God Bless You,
Sue
