This is what fundamentalism does folks.
Liberalism is doubting the truth of scripture. There are quite a few of them out there. Rightly dividing the word of truth, as I just did, is not liberalism although fundamentalists cannot tell the difference.

Fundamentalism is accepting the truth of scripture, but only on the terms laid down by other fundamentalists who are so bound up in their own traditions that they can’t see beyond their blinders. When challenged, they lack the resources to do anything but hurl invectives at their challenger. “Straight from the pits of hell” is one of their favorites.

No, this is what happens when the scriptures are not seen as jesus and his Apostles did!

the Holy spirit inspired those writings to us, so how can they be an less of a divine revelation then jesus, as God himself authored them thru those men?

Actually, those who view the scriptures the same exact wayjesus/prophets/Apostles all did are the "Fundamentalist!"

The bible is divine in the same way Jesus is divine? Now who's the liberal departing from orthodox Christianity? Huh, that would be you.

I'm sorry but this claim is impossible to make and support.

correct:thumbsup:

In John 17 Jesus prayer for:

Joh 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Paul wrote that:

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Bible itself says that you and I believe because of the Bible. The the word of the disciples who saw the resurrection is given through the Bible. Paul said faith in God comes through the Bible.

I suggest you back up and take another look are your indefensible position. To say that you believe the Bible because of Jesus and not the other way around is just ludicrous.

It is indefensible because God has given the scriptures to protect and guide us.
Not some subjective feelings and emotions and being blown around by every wind of doctrine.

Satan questioned and put doubt on God's word{ has God said?} those in non confessional churches believe typically in supposed additional revelation and are at risk.

No, rather that the revelation of God in both the Bible and jesus are equally divine, as both are infallab;e/inerrant witness to God Himself...

Jesus is God in Human flesh, the scriptures are His thoughts and views recorded down in written form to us!

When the Bible states something is true SAME authority as jesus saying it to us!
