Ed about Isaiah 13:9: "Sounds like a dual fulfillment
prophecy to me "

eschatologist: "And by what do you base this on!!!"

The smilie has "irony" written all over it.
I notice when you can't prove your position using scripture you attempt some sort of humor.

Jude 1:21 (HCSB):

keep yourselves in the love of God, expecting the mercy Jesus Christ for eternal life .

I believe "expecting the mercy" means i lean more
toward the pretribulation rapture theory
than the rape of the bride theory.
Mercy for eternal life, not for missing the tribulation.

I leave it as an exercise as to whom is who.
Or is that who is whom? whom are whom?
who be who? ... nevermind :(

You and i both know that some questions
do not need to be answered.
Some questions cannot be answered.
Some questions are loaded.
So neither do we need to answer all questions.
And other questions, you don't even want
to know the answer.

Here is a question NOBODY on Baptist Board has
ever answered. Well, except for me.
My answer is: The polysendeton "and" that
starts Matthew 24:31.

Matthew 24:29 says: "Immediately after the
tribualtion of those days, ... "

Which is the first phrase, verse, chapter,
or whatever which is NOT modified
by the "Immediately after the tribulation
of those days, ... "

Danrusdad: "Now, I've been most generous and
answsered you point-by-point."

Thank you for your generosity. Some folks
are like the hen who laid the egg right
into the 70MPH Northener -- eight time ;)
Repeat, themselves, get it?

Danrusdad: "Are you going to again use generalizations
and ignore my points ... ?"

Please withold your critique until you
have read my dozen handwritten but not
yet typed up posts. Thank you for your
forebarence.

BTW, I will not be near a computer 2 Sept
thru 6 Sept 2004.

#1. What you believe, and how you lean are irrelevant. The truth is, as all can see who read the verse you, yourself posted, is that nowhere does this verse mention the rapture or the second coming. And it certainly does NOT add credence to your theory that the rapture and the second coming are some 7 years apart.

#2. I find your use of the phrase, "rape of the bride theory" to describe those of use who disagree with you highly offensive as a man and a Christian. How much more so to the women who frequent this board, or even those who have experienced the tragedy of rape?

To compare my belief with such an abusive, insensitive, cruel, selfish, and sinful act is inexcusable. As if I would somehow adopt, accept, or even promote such behavior against anyone (literally or figuratively).

You have insulted and slandered those who believe as I do, made light of a horrible act to add shock value to your post, and gone way beyond the debate forum of this board. At the very least you owe me, those who believe as I do, and the female members of this board an apology.

If you want to debate with scripture, fine. If you want to mock, insult, and post lies about a position which do not understand (willingly or unwillingly), then we are finished.

Consider yourself and this post reported.

As if you posting a dozen more posts of the same old stuff is going to save the day for your argument.

The phrase "rape" of the Bride carries with it a gruesome and vivid mental picture, as do the words "beheading" or "murder" in the newspaper this morning. I have heard it used many times by those debate the pre/mid/post trib positions.

Agreeing with either side (or neither side) of the position on the rapture, such language is unnecessarily offensive and beyond the pale of our discussions on the theology.

I would ask Ed (and others in the Forum) to be careful to weigh the words painted on the BB and not use inflamatory or needlessly harsh or abusive language.

Thank you.
