so God is a respecter of persons?
if there are two people. both deserving of hell. and God grants one person forgiveness by changing his heart from unbelief to belief. but does not give the other person a chance to even consider it?
sorry bro. Thats not the god of the bible.
“I have loved you,” says the LORD. But you say, “How have You loved us?” “Was Esau not Jacob’s brother?” declares the LORD. “Yet I have loved Jacob; but I have hated Esau, and I have made his mountains a desolation and given his inheritance to the jackals of the wilderness.” Though Edom says, “We have been beaten down, but we will return and build up the ruins”; this is what the LORD of armies says: “They may build, but I will tear down; and people will call them the territory of wickedness, and the people with whom the LORD is indignant forever.” And your eyes will see this, and you will say, “The LORD be exalted beyond the border of Israel!” [Malachi 1:2-5] ... Is this the God of the Bible?
Jesus answered and said to them, “Stop complaining among yourselves. No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. It is written in the Prophets: ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me. [John 6:43-45] ... Is this the God of the Bible?
Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep. My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” [John 10:25-30] ... Is this the God of the Bible?
"So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires." [Romans 9:18] ... Is this the God of the Bible?
but does not give the other person a chance to even consider it?
God gives EVERYONE (with the possible exception of Esau ) a chance to consider it.
Everyone freely chooses to reject God's offer.
- And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.
- He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and yet the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not accept Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God.
- And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed.
