The Westminster Confession of Faith Says That God was PLEASED With The Fall of The Human Race.

“Our first parents were led astray by the cunning temptation of Satan and sinned in eating the forbidden fruit. It pleased God to allow them to sin, because in his wisdom and holiness he planned to order their sin to his own glory” (On the Fall of Man, https://epc.org/wp-content/uploads/Files/1-Who-We-Are/B-About-The-EPC/WCF-ModernEnglish.pdf)

Not only does the WCF say that God was PLEASED to ALLOW Adam and Eve to sin, and therefore the entire human race. But, it goes on to say, that God so PLANNED to ORDER THEIR SIN TO HIS OWN GLORY.

This is the highest form of BLASPHEMY, as it clearly makes God the AUTHOR of our sins, and that He takes PLEASURE in our SINNING!!!

The Oxford English Dictionary defines PLEASED:

“Affected by feelings of satisfaction or pleasure; contented, gratified, in good humour”

And ORDER:

“Of the Deity, etc.: To regulate or determine (occurrences, events, etc.); to ordain”

This is 100% AGAINST the Teachings of the Holy Bible, and must be REJECTED, as from hell!

In the old days that phrase was a way to show that you recognize someone as superior even as they allowed something or gave permission for something to happen. I might say to the king "If it pleases the king, may I go preach at the nearby town" for example. When I was ready to leave for the trip, I would tell my servant, "I'm going to preach at the nearby town". I would not use "pleases" to address an equal. It could certainly mean gives pleasure but doesn't have to. We don't use it that way nowadays. But you are left with a choice - either God knew what was going to happen and allowed it or it took him by surprise.

So we have moved beyond heresy to blasphemy. I am so grateful that SBG has arrived to straighten out all the Calvinists/Reformed/Particular/Augustinians dwelling in blasphemous ignorance here.

Foaming at the mouth is never pretty, no matter on which side it occurs.

Pleases can only mean AGREE

And that presents a problem in what manner?

Would not the Son, who was slain prior to the earth being formed, have been a waisted effort had not the garden events taken place?

Perhaps it is that you are stuck in a human time of twenty-four hours (and a bit) in which God is not constricted to abide by such limits.

so the words in the WCF as in the OP are not blasphemy?

Do not the Scriptures teach that all glory excluding nothing belongs to the God?

Do you consider that God was not knowing the results when He planted the garden, placed two “forbidden trees, and created two humans without bellybuttons?

Do you view God as unaware of the end from the beginning?

What complete RUBBISH. So, I KNOW that my friend is qoing to have an affair, by KNOWING this, I have ORDAINED it???

UnBiblical NONSENSE!

perhaps if you actually drew accurately from the quote, it wouldn’t be nonsense.

Please read the OP and show from the Bible, where God was PLEASED, and PLANNED to ORDER our SINS for His Glory?

You left out “had the power to prevent it from happening, and purpose that it come to pass.”

If you know your friend is going to have an affair, and You can prevent it, and you actually purpose that it happen, then you would be sinful.

God knowing, God having full power, God allowing and even purposing, does not present God as sinful, rather allowing the first Adam to express true freedom of the will. Adam chose to disregard God.

Please show me from the Bible, chapter and verse, where it says this?

"because in his wisdom and holiness he planned to order their sin to his own glory”
