In the last days on the brink of the return of Christ to gather His People, there will be wide spread apostacy in religion wherein they will speak as though they honor the Lord Jesus Christ, but in reality they dishonor Him in His Person and Work, and deny the Saving Power of His Death. Paul writes 2 Tim 3:5

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

They deny the Power of Godliness by denying the Saving Power/Efficacy of the Death/Blood of Christ. This they do by teaching that sinners Christ died for remain lost and condemned. This teaching is a great dishonor to the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. I will in this thread post scriptures that Testify to the Saving Death of Christ, yes His Death in and of itself, secured and brings about the Salvation of each and every sinner He died for, namely His Elect, or Sheep or His Church !

First lets look at Peters writing to believers here 1 Pet 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The baring of our sins and His stripes are one and the same, which resulted in being healed. The word for healed iaomai means:

  1. to cure, heal
  2. to make whole
    1. to free from errors and sins, to bring about (one's) salvation

Yes it means to bring about or accomplish or effect ones Salvation ! Thats what His Death did for them He died for. Thats why they became believers, Salvation causes belief in the Truth 2 Thess 2:13

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

It's not our fault you deny 1 john 2:2 and then make false claims based on your denial.

"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

There's only one way, and one way only that you're not denying 1 John 2:2.

That would be that you're a Universalist.

If that's the case, then we're playing a totally different ball game.

Denying the saving efficacy of the Death of Christ is a great evil in these last days b4 Christs return

1Co 15:2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
1Co 15:4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

1Co 15:13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.
1Co 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is worthless, and so is your faith.

All of humanities sins were covered a the cross 1Jn 2:2 "He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."

But only those that freely trust in the risen Christ will be saved. Eph 1:13 "And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth—the gospel of your salvation—you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,"

Now you can believe the word of God or you can continue to believe that man-made religion. But only one is the truth.

Question, do you deny the saving efficacy of the Death of Christ ?

Question, do you deny the saving efficacy of the Death of Christ ?

His death covered the sins of humanity His life provides for the salvation of those that believe in Him.

Do you deny this biblical truth.
1Co 15:17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!

Well since we know all humanity isn't going to be saved, unless you believe in universalism, then you cannot believe His death for sinners efficaciously saved them, so you deny the saving efficacy of the Death of Christ, admit it

His death did not save anyone, that is scriptural. You need to admit that your philosophy comes from a man-made religion not from the bible.

Rom_5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

1Co 15:14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.

You are trusting in Jesus on the cross not the risen Christ. Your misunderstanding of the means of salvation will damn you to hell.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
1Co 15:4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

You trust vs 3 but ignore vs 4.

You continue to stop short of the means of salvation and trust that Jesus covering all sins means you are saved even though you do not trust in the risen Christ. You are prompting universalism BF.

His death did not save anyone,

Sure it did, He healed them He died for by His stripes, meaning His Death 1 Pet 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The word healed here is the greek word iaomai :

  1. to cure, heal
  2. to make whole
    1. to free from errors and sins, to bring about (one's) salvation

Now according to apostolic testimony here, how were these believers healed, freed from sin, and salvation effected ?

To be reconciled to God is to be saved legally from sin and wrath. Now how were they reconciled to God ?

Salvation was not through the death of Jesus. If you will not trust the word of God then there is no hope for you BF.

Rom_5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Reconciled
Brought into friendship from a state of disagreement or enmity; made consistent; adjusted. Webster

You answered your own question BF. We are saved by His life. Not saved by His death.
Saved by both His Death ad Life. To be reconciled to God is saved also, then they are saved from the power of sin by His Life. Nowhere does it ever state them He died for were not saved by His Death, you added that statement, its not in Rom 5:10

How were they healed ? What dose Peter say ? Do you believe Peter ? 1 Pet 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Thats a horrible thing to say about the Saviors Death, after all He suffered to save His People from their sins, even the Death of the Cross.

BF Paul is clear in Rom 5:10 and 1Co 15:17 and Eph 1:13 and Rom 10:9-10 that we are saved because we believe in the risen Christ.

As Paul said 1Co 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins.

Christ on the cross was the propitiation/the atoning sacrifice for the worlds sins. 1Jn 2:2. Are all people saved BF? No!

All people can be saved if they will turn and trust in the risen Christ.

Is this what Paul in Rom_10:9
that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that Christ died on the cross, you will be saved.

It would have to be if we held to your view BF.

You can deny what the bible says and put your own reading into the text but that does not make it true.

We have to believe the whole gospel message not just what you want to believe.

1Co 15:2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

Why do you deny the clear scripture that shows your view is wrong.

Christ died to be the propitiation for the sins of all mankind. If He had not been raised by the Father then we would still be in our sins as we would not have the living Christ to trust in.

So your denial of biblical truth is the horrible thing BF.

I havent denied them. Yet you deny that the Death of Christ saved them He died for, Rom 5:10 makes that clear as Day, a person reconciled to God is saved from the penalty of their sins, they dont have sin charged to them 2 Cor 5:19

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

if a person doesnt sin charged against them, they are saved from the penalty of sin ! That came about by the Death of Christ
