Problem is the virus causes heart damage (not just moderate issues like mycoplasma, but serious heart problems). In fact, we do not know the long term damage of the virus.

That is false. The crowd I hang around with was against it even during Trump's times once the data came out of how much of a non-threat COVID is to the average American.
For some, I agree.
But not for many. As I said, a member here told me he planned on taking the vaccine until Biden won the election and urged the vaccine.
Many who were opposed to the vaccine have taken it because Biden won the election as well.
People are stupid.
So now contrast the below options:
1. Get the COVID jab and be guaranteed to be exposed to the potential of heart problems
OR
2. Don't get the COVID jab, escape COVID entirely, and escape ALL RISK of heart damage.
Number 2 is a no-brainer, especially if you're healthy to begin with and your COVID risk is less then 0.2%.
Bottom Line:
We don't know what the long-term effects of a virus are (But you might not even catch it)
We don't know what the long-term effects of the vaccine are (But if you take it, you WILL get whatever effects there are)

The Pfizer vax has to be long term safe. It is FDA approved. We all know that no FDA approved medicine has ever been pulled because they later discovered long term side effects.

I had with pneumonia spent the night in the va hospital for some observation to make sure I didn’t clot.

no country has ever bailed us out before! The US only entered WWII after the Japs bombed PH. They invaded countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, and wasted TRILLIONS, and drag us into the conflicts!

With the vaccine there is a rare possibility of a treatable reaction involving the heart. With covid there is a greater possibility of death.
Look around on this thread. We already know at least Reformed1689 and Reynolds had covid (Reynolds said he had it twice). So getting covid is far from rare.
At the same time the risk of dying of covid in general is .3% to .5%.....it is low. But the risk of a heart issue from a vaccine is 0.00216%. Of these the issue is normally easily treatable and temporary (gone within 2 weeks).
No. Not a fact. Covid itself has been proven to diminish t-cells while the vaccibes increased t-cell production. This is the reason experts concluded the vaccinated had an immunity to the virus after antibodies significantly decreased while the unvaccinated covid survivors had more antibodies but no t-cell defense.
This also explains why covid survivors who are vaccinated have the better immunity.

Oh, & before some pop up with "you are free to choose--", if one's job requires the vax, when no other vaxs are required, that is not a real, repeat, REAL choice!! And just because the gov't requires it , same circumstances, then it is not only not a real choice, but also unconstitutional.
Don't know how this plays out with you Brits, but on this side of the pond -- IT STINKS!!
