So matt supports the racism and evil actions of the blm and antifa but condemns the racism of neo-nazis, we get it.
Nope. I condemn racism wherever it exists. But where one group is avowedly racist and genocide in its stated aims and the other has some racist individuals in it, there is no comparison. Do you see the difference?

I'm astonished at some of the ethical gymnastics having to be performed by some people here.

One man murdered a 32 year old woman and he will be held to account for his crime.

  1. What political party is he registered to vote with?
  2. Which group of protesters did he join and march with?
  3. What groups symbols was he carrying?
  4. Has he ever threatened others with a knife?
  5. What group did his posting on social sites promote?

None. An individual did it.

Me too, I am embarrassed for you. the ends never justify the means.
I was referring to you and others. The anti fascists whom you scorn put their lives on the line to save your fellow-clergy. Had you been there fighting the good fight, they'd have done the same for you.

BTW, where are the evangelical leaders that supported Trump? Where is Jerry Falwell Jr., Paula White, Robert Jeffress, Franklin Graham, Mike Huckabee? Why don't they weigh in with a statement?

Why did the KKK and white supremacists march on the church that was holding a prayer meeting. What is so leftist about praying and singing "This Little Light of Mine"?

I agree with that....which makes your previous comment all the more surprising.
The two situations are not at all comparable. I think you know that. In one situation you had an entire ethnic group being exterminated with several entire nations in on it. In the other you had some societal rejects waving flags and yelling.

If radical Islamists turned up to a rally with AK47s, shouting "Death to America " or some similar pleasantries, you'd let them get on with it?
Are they American citizens? Are they carrying the weapons legally? Are they breaking the law?

Yet the 'societal rejects' supported a political party in Germany in the 1930s that accomplished all of the above and support the same party with the same aims now.

That's what makes them.such a dangerous cancer in society.

So if brown as opposed to white American citizens show up carrying weapons which they own legally but shouting "Allahu Akbar! Death to the West!" ...you're absolutely ok with that? They shouldn't be arrested.

I just want to be sure we're understanding the same thing here.

You can in a new thread. Let's not derail this one onto that rabbit track.
Looking at the original post, this thread is about how both sides have resorted to violence, and there is no ethical superior. Seems to me that my post is fitting.

Besides, if you want to apply a rule or test against the KKK but are unwilling to apply it elsewhere, it smacks of bias.

I'm afraid Franklin Graham has already waded in and blames both sides but particularly the authorities who wanted to remove the statue of bigotry. Gee, his daddy must be proud...

I am biased. I am for freedom and equality for all. I am against discrimination and mistreatment of all, regardless of ethnicity. How about you?
