But Trump gave us judges that overturned Roe V Wade. Trump says it's a state issue.
He did. It will not decrease abortions (they have actually increased since Roe vs Wade was overturned). Without a federal ban (which will not happen) they won't decrease. You have companies that fly women for free to get abortions if their state don't allow it.

BUT I do like stronger states rights.

It has not increased in my State. I can’t vote in other States.

You can vote in federal elections.

Point is abortion has increased, and we can no longer tell definitively in which states.

If my state, SC, for example, bans abortion it will not decrease abortions. It will make it where abortions are not legally being performed in my state. That's all. Not one child saved.

BUT Christians can reach out to women considering abortions and this may actually decrease them. That, not politics, is where the real work begins.

That said, I realize that many Chriatians are political and view the overturn of Roe vs Wade as some type of victory. Problem is true change for the good can only come about by changing hearts, not making laws.

I do realize why the GOP is now pro-choice and pro-conservative LBGQT. If they did not change then they would have no hope in gaining power. I get that. They can't loose conservative pro-choice votes or conservative gay votes. So their platform has become opposing 1% of abortions as many pro-choice voters also oppose late term abortion.

I am not faulting the GOP for their platform. The World is the World, and the GOP is fighting for dominance in ruling a worldly "kingdom".

I, personally, will not support a person like Trump or a political party like the GOP because neither are things that I support. It is contrary to my faith.

I believe the GOP would better run the nation. But they are not something I can in good conscious support.

I've heard many say they will go to the polls holding their nose and vote for Trump. That tells me they also cannot vote for Trump in good conscious (which means, as a Christian, they shouldn't).

We, as a nation have turned from God and forgotten the Lord Jesus Christ. Is it any wonder we're down to the political candidates we now have? We have fake people, (actors) telling us who to vote for and how we should live...and a good percentage of our population are following these dullards. How many times has God warned us as to what happens when his people turn from him? Defeat and enslavement come to mind, time after time.

We're a small KJV Baptist Church at Armstrong Valley, usually no more than 40 attend Sunday morning service, maybe 15 Sunday evening. Tonight's Prayer Meeting only drew 6 of us including the pastor and his youngest son. Love one another.

Then why don't we train our missionaries and pastors who try to reach those in a godless culture to talk about genitalia size and blowj@bs and call women whores and use the F-word and use God's name in terrible abuse?

Wow, if Trump is reaching voters with his lewd speech, then we ALL should start talking like this. EVERYONE would be "reached".

Where am I wrong in interpreting what you are saying in defending his sin, Van?
I was explaining the calculated behavor, not advocating the use of course or vulgar language.

One of the ploys of the godless left is to claim some statement is just horrible, disqualifying the candidate for public office. Recall how they said Barry Goldwater's "in defense of" statement crossed the line. Obviously politically motivated.

I can guarantee you that those in attendance when Trump was speaking on this past Saturday - no matter how godless they may be - had NO desire to listen to the praises of Arnold Palmer's genitals.

I don't believe his behavior is calculated at all. He DOESN'T think or calculate anything before he speaks. He said at the RNC after Franklin Graham spoke [now THAT was calculated] that Graham had been begging him to stop with the foul language and then he laughed and said he couldn't do it.

He speaks this way because he thinks it's funny and it's just who the man is in his heart. It's not a carefully crafted political tactic - it's a sickness, a sin sickness.

Van, we aren't talking about the godless left!! This is what conservative people do all the time. When questioned about Trump and poor judgment - they can't defend him, so they turn it all around to the "godless left".

What do YOU PERSONALLY think about Trump's habitual lewd speech. That's what we are talking about.

And you are still defending him.

I have expressed my view, his use of lewd metaphor is calculated to relate to those who use course language. You have a different view.

I am aware of the many verses teaching us, born anew believers, how to control our tongue, and avoid course language so as to not offend others.

Which is worse, calling Mr. Trump a fascist, possibly triggering violence, or attempting to honor Mr. Palmer's courage under competitive stress, by suggesting he had a large set of masculinity.

Christians and non-Christians often behave in a non-Christian manner. God uses broken reeds.

A Donald Trump rally is basically a really, really, really long pro wrestling promo segment. Which is not surprising as Trump actually spent some time in the WWE.

So, when you watch a Trump rally, think of the event in pro wrestling terms: Trump is a heel, and the crowd are his marks.

I'll add that this is what the left does as well, and they have a lot to point at.

My concern, however, is that the GOP (and Trump) have become what the world sees when they look at the work and support of Christians.

When they see Trump using foul language, making crude comments, being abusive towards those he disagrees with, lying, . . . Well, they see "Christians" laughing at those crude jokes, accepting the obscene language, tolerating the abusive comments, accepting or remaining silent when he lies, etc. And the problem is much deeper than Trump. Trump did not come along and hijack the GOP.

Very slowly Christians have allowed the GOP destroy their witness. I understood that we cannot serve two masters as a concept, but over the past two decades I have come to understand it as a reality.

If you recall, Franklin Graham is very supportive of Trump (still attending Trump events, praying that God make Trump the next POTUS, and putting Trump forward as an example of our faith). And I like Franklin Graham (starting to change my mind, to be honest).

If I were not saved it would be impossible that I listen to the witness of a Christian that I knew was a Republican (or a Democrat). Unfortunately when many think "Christian" they think "GOP".

We have to stop supporting godless things, but I fear it is too late for American Christianity as a whole. I really don't see a recovery of our "first love" in American churches. I believe that time has passed and it will fall on a reminent to strengthen the things that remain.

Maybe I'm just too pessimistic. I hope that is the case.

This is last attempt to get you to understand what I am saying and I will leave it alone because I fear we will never agree.

Are you saying that the people in attendance at the rally six days ago in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, the birth place of Arnold Palmer are ALL coarse speakers and came there to hear him discuss Palmer's genitalia? And that Trump was doing that to get their vote that he already has?

Which is worse, calling Mr. Trump a fascist, possibly triggering violence, or attempting to honor Mr. Palmer's courage under competitive stress, by suggesting he had a large set of masculinity.

Attempting to HONOR his courage under competitive stress by telling the audience he had huge genitals??

Van, can you hear yourself? Do you really believe that?

Again we are not talking about the left calling Trump a fascist. Start another thread on that topic and we can talk about it to your heart's content.

I wish you could just tell me if you think Trump is in the right when talks about blowj@bs and men's genitalia.

I think he is in the wrong. But you and countless others can only defend him or ignore his un-Presidential and heart-breaking behavior.

I won't bother you about this anymore.

And a Hartis rally is basically a kindergarten teacher reading Dr. Seuss without a storyline except make the federal government bigger :Biggrin .

Watch this two-minute video of one of the most famous promos ever in pro wrestling, by Scott Steiner, and it is very easy to imagine Donald Trump talking like this about Kamala Harris.

I don't like wrestling. Give me a baseball one and I'll watch it (but not the Yankees).

I have explained a possible reason for Mr. Trump's use of course language. You have not addressed the use of course and vile language on the Left. Fascist, Dictator, Hitler. Two wrongs do not make a right. But the selective outrage toward one side of a political debate is troubling.

Have you noticed how "Orange Man Bad" has become the mantra of the godless left?
The want to lock him up. They say he is a fascist. They want to "turn the page" without changing any of Mr. Biden's disastrous
polices on the economy, energy, border, or foreign policy.

They want to change the topic to Mr. Trump's words, from their record.

Continuing with Trump's pro wrestling connection, maybe he could make an appearance in AEW with Malakai Black and the House of Black on "Dynamite" some Wednesday night. :Biggrin

It would fit in well with the tone of his campaign.

Left, Brody King; Middle, Malakai Black; Right, Buddy Matthews

No clue. I have not noticed wrestling themes to Trump's campaign. They all seem to be about Trump, bragging on things he did and didn't do.

I noticed Harris' campaign is kinda like Oprah with a little hip hop and Springsteen in the mix. Sooner or later Bon Jovi will show up....or John Fogerty....I like Fogerty.

All I know is both campaign rallys are too full of lies to take seriously. I think they are just designed as pep rallys for their sheeple.
