I'll that that as an admission that you have never defended Obama ... but as I remember you have condemned him often.

When will you post your first condemnation of Trump?

Never. Condemnation is God's business and I've no authority to usurp His prerogatives. However, I've criticized Trump's actions in private conversations, and for the first time in my 13 presidential votes, cast my ballot for someone not in either major party. On this board I've tried - not always successfully, I'm sure - to back away from criticizing Trump, Obama, HRC, whomever, when I don't have all the information. (Or even close to all of it.)

Look, you can't have it both ways. You can't have one president claiming this is not a Christian nation, then complain that the next president isn't Christian enough.

Well given that it was your question in post 71 that got us to this point...

I was thinking as I was grocery shopping it's amazing how often Rom 3:23 comes up as an excuse for Trumps sins.
Not an excuse. A statement of fact because some folks here seem to think they themselves (or so it seems) are sinless as they so easily broadcast the sins of others.

Granted our President has a sinful past (as we have told and shown the evidence many times).
Pray for him.

When anyone who is not saved stands before the judgement seat of God, they will not be able to shrug their shoulders and say well everyone sins. No they will be held responsible for their own sins as perfection is the standard
Agreed, never said differently.

Now me I'm greatful that God is able to save a wretched depraved sinner like me and because of his amazing Grace I want to live rightly before Him no matter what. I cannot make light of my own wretched sin, and I will not make light of another's especially when they claim to be a Christain.

1 Timothy 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.

And do tell Hank who here has claimed to be without sin? I'll wait for the quote.

Praying for our president does not equal turning a blind eye to his failings. I pray for him the exact same way I prayed for Obama.

Define moral for me.
A moral person:

Luke 18
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

That is not a definition of moral. What does the word moral mean?

By the way, I do hold myself to a higher standard than I expect from others.

Look BW, I respect your position. Always have.
If I had decided not to vote for President Trump I would probably be there along with the nevertrumpers in a poor evaluation (skewed of course) of his performance.

No one remembers but I also condemned him for his proven immoralities shortly after the primaries began.

Then I considered the alternatives and weighed things in the balance.
The blood of the innocent was the deciding factor for me.

He took a pro-life stance, made a promise (and kept it - Gorsuch).

Of course I am going to defend him (and Pence).

Watch, if he's impeached and made to step down, Pence will be next up for the smear campaign.

Hank you are one of the few Trump supporters here who I think gives as fair of evaluation of Trump as possible for his supporters.

I have no problem with Pence except with where he hitched his star.
I'm still waiting on a pro life ruling from Gorsuch before I sing his praises as we have been burned by SCOTUS multiple times.
Trumps praise of Planned Parenthood and continual funding of Planned Parenthood leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We will see what happens with the next budget coming up soon but his focus seems to be on the wall not defunding that evil organization.
For me Trump is a symptom of a much bigger problem in the American Church and that is what I'm always aiming at rooting out.

Using this definition, then yes, I am a moral person. I hold myself to a higher standard than I expect of others.

Are you a moral person?
