Trump supporters on the other hand laud him for his moral failings and hold them up as reasons to esteem him.
Malarkey. Trump supporters point out that all have sinned and fall short of the glory.

Being manipulative is not a good thing and no one should ever be praised for that moral failing especially by Christians.

Lincoln has been described as Manipulator-in-chief. He jailed journalists that he couldn't influence, and even secretly owned a newspaper. Yeah I know, Trump is not Lincoln. But at least be consistent.

Yep. Trump isn't a politician, he's a ruthless businessman. He won't take crap from anyone. So what if he bankrupted three casinos and written off $915 million in losses in one tax year? He's bounced back. The press won't be able to get away with insulting and lying about Trump because he'll insult and lie right back at them. Yes, he uses foul language and he curses. So what? Just shows he's not a polished, teleprompted fake politician. Look how he toys with his opponents, playing them for fools, then moves on the jugular for the kill! He's awesome!

Yeah I'm not a fan of Lincoln and him being called Manipulative doesn't endure him to me any more than Trump being lauded for being Manipulative does. Consistent is believing that Character matters regardless of the letter after you name, and not engaging in moral relativism and whataboutism.

If you don't think Trump supporter don't laud him for his sinfulness than you have not been paying attention. Just look at any thread where he is praised for "fighting back" against the press, or being lauded for all his manipulation of people.

Yes, Trump is an anachronism, someone who would feel more at home in the Gilded Age with pretensions of being a robber baron. He's Henry Frick without taste or a bent toward philanthropy.

I guess I am one of those 60,000,000 plus people who do no such thing.

Listen up: The MSM has been lying about him 24/7 ever since he said he was running for President. They have no conscience. Don Lemon with his "analysis" after Trump's Phoenix rally was so evil he should be taken off the air. Clapper needs to be put behind bars. Cooper is a smug, snarky hate-monger.

It's a virtue that he has been fighting against the press. It no longer reports news --hasn't for years. It is in a treason mode. It wants to be the agent for removing him from his office. Whatever it takes --the more lies and deceptions the better for their news-deprived audience of mindless ones numbering in the thousands.

The majority of people know what the facts are, and we aren't taking it any more from the Media. They turned a blind eye when Obama was in office (when he was really born in Kenya). Obama committed many criminal acts and violated the Constitution with regularity. He stoked racial animosity as best as he could.

President Trump, on the other hand, wants to unify the nation. He has denounced evil on all sides. But he will never satisfy the lying media who want him to phrase things as exactly as possible otherwise he will be considered a Nazi or worse in their reporting.

It's not sin to call out the Media for their unrelenting sinfulness. They are the ones who need to be unseated from their arrogant and pompous high horse . The Media daily displays false morality. They are virtue-signaling hypocrites.

.

I never said all of them do that, I was just saying that the fact that SOME of his supporters do is what is different between him and all previous presidents. As I have already pointed out his biggest supporter on this board lauds him for his unscrupulous behavior.

Any wonder that folks worry about Trump and his minons'' support for freedom of speech? Hand me a Star Chamber, please.

The Constitution defines treason. That's not it. No wonder people are so wary of Trump enthusiasts.

They turned a blind eye when Obama was in office (when he was really born in Kenya).

I thought Trump backed off on that claim after he rode it to fame. I guess he was was either lying at the beginning or at the end. Hard to tell, given his hundreds of lies.

President Trump, on the other hand, wants to unify the nation

In his own terms, of course. I cannot think of a single thing he has done to unify the nation, unless, of course, it is to unite the nation against him.

Really, you can be reasonable on some things. Trump is not not one them.

<snip diatribe>

I bet it feels good to get that off your chest. I can see you think it's great that Trump is taking the press to the woodshed. I admit I enjoy it.

Meanwhile, have you noticed that Trump has shifted his position from, "We're gonna build a Wall and Mexico's gonna pay for it" to "we're gonna build a Wall and US taxes are gonna pay for it or else I'm gonna shut down the government." Have you noticed that?

How is that Wall coming along, by the way? How's that repeal and replace of Obamacare coming? Where's tax reform? Where's that postcard sized tax return? How about my tax cut? Why hasn't Trump created more jobs so far in 2017 than Obama did in the same amount of time in 2016? Are we fixing our third world infrastructure yet?

But, wow, he's sure taking it to the press, isn't he? Good times, huh?

Yes. It's a problem when you come into office with low expectations and can't meet them.

If Republicans oppose a wall of separation, they are bashed for it. Now, if they support a wall of separation they are bashed for it. Never mind trying to win with that one.[/QUOTE]

It's probably already said, but anyone could turn up early, take a photo of a half empty auditorium and then post it on twitter to get leftie points. CNN panned the cameras and it was full, and CNN would have loved to have shown an empty room.

He is a sinner like you and I.

BOXING LEGEND GEORGE FOREMAN Reveals How Trump Saved Him When He Was “Broke…Bankrupt”

"In the interview, Foreman also praised Donald Trump, who played a pivotal role in his personal comeback at age 42, helping to fund and promote his match with another boxing great, Evander Holyfield. Before the fight, Foreman said he was “broke … bankrupt.” But Trump, he said, helped save him financially."

Nice dodge.

Do you defend his immorality? Would you cut as much slack for Obama?

It only shows that those who couldn't stomach Trump from the beginning still can't. He won, and is accomplishing some things even in the face of a storm of criticism from all sides. He has an unpleasant personality? I'm sure all of us can be unpleasant too.
