It's not a blanket answer....

Much like you can't throw a blanket over every Roman Catholic or everyone in the Church of God, etc.

Safe to say I'm EXTREMELY skeptical of those who seem to express faith in a doctrinal concept or their own performance
your right ,,,,thats a padded answer.

Then explain your point!!!!!!

I am not in the habit of answering people who angrily make demands ("!!!!!!!"), but I will make an exception.

My point is that Scripture can be used by anyone to make any point. Quotation of The Bible without proper context, understanding, and motive opens the door to wrong doctrine.

I am no theologian, but that is my opinion.

Can you give me some examples of Washer taking verses out of context?

Simple answer... Do you see those of us holding to a Reformed view on the scriptures saved and brothers in Christ?

Yes..... Like insistently stressing lordship salvation.

Evan, if any brother were to take a concept that he himself believes is taught as a Biblical truth and then emphasizes it as FULL TRUTH (without doubt), are we to believe it? At best we can debate it but are we to follow him lock step?!?

When I was a boy, my mother fervently accepted the Roman Catholic church as the one true religion...all others were in error. Was I to believe her, after all that is my mother therefore she cant be wrong. In retrospect & in clear study of Gospel.....well you can draw your own conclusions.

Well it's a secondary issue. I believe LS is correct but I am not going to say that those that teach Free Grace are lost.
