God has great things planned for His children. Great and glorious things. Much better than if we didn’t suffer through this present day of evil. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Romans 8:19-21 NAS
Sure we can. God created persons, not puppets. He didn't want mindless autonomotons who are forced to follow him. He wanted persons who would follow him out of a choice to do so. </font>[/QUOTE]mans natural choice is not to seek God in anyway.Originally posted by Johnv:

Since we are created in the image of God, we have that will. God allowed that. He knew it would happen but created us that way anyway. We can't know why...

God created Lucifer with the ability to choose to go against God. But this does not make God the author of evil. Besides, we are talking about evil as though it is a thing in itself. Evil does not exist on its own, as several posters have pointed out. Evil is sin. So we have to ask, is God the author of sin? Never! But if God didn't create evil, why did Lucifer buck the system? If evil wasn't already there he wouldn't have had those feelings of pride and jealosy.
