Not according to a Better Word... The Word of God.

I also find it amazing that you say these women 'won't even let Jesus in,' but that you are able to get through.

If they won't let Christ in, what are you reaching them with?

The Christian is not to invite anyone into their home that may teach them a doctrine contrary to the Word of God.

Boy, aren't you glad Jesus didn't act like this?!

Can you show me one time during Christ's walk on this earth where a person could not be reached by Him, but someone else was able to reach that person?

Isn't that putting someone in a prideful position? Putting someone else above Christ? "I can do what Christ can't do!"

Sorry, if Christ can't reach 'em, nobody can.

You left the brain out of your strawman.

Anytime someone is "reached", as you put it, it is Jesus who has succesfully done so, using me or you, or anyone else.

I have no idea what this has to do with anything we are talking about. I'm talking about being generous enough to have a meal with people instead of having a "keep out" rule unless they believe like I believe.

I am reaching them with the love of the Lord pouring out from inside me. I am slowly broaching the subject of Christ and Salvation with them as I am finding out several of them are children of the Lord just have strayed from Him. I am not sitting there telling shoving gospel down these women's throats I am there for them with a listening ear. I am not sitting there pointing out their faults. I am not sitting there telling them to repent. God will have that happen later. Right now I am their friend. I am offering sweet tea and cake and a listening ear and hopefully being the best friend I can be to them. They have to know they can trust me before they will open their hearts. I think jumping down someone's throat telling them that they are sinners and that they are going to hell and that they need to change is a very wrong approach, we need to be there for them, get down to their level and when the walls begin to crumble, then get a little more into who Christ is still not throwing a whole bunch of scripture at them. The key is delicacy we want to draw them in, not throw them away. :1_grouphug:

But her statement was that they would not even let Jesus is... but she can reach them.

She is exalting herself above Christ in stating such. Able to do what He can't.

As to the meal, John received the command not to invite those who did not bring the doctrine of Christ with them into his home from the Holy Spirit.

We are not to invite those who have the potential of teaching false doctrine to our children, our family into our home... regardless who they are.

I just received an email from my good (INTERNET) friend, Kelly. She is
a pastors wife who was on wife swap. Kelly asked me to post her email

Hi, this is Kelly Stonerock or, known on ABC's "Wife Swap" as biblegal.
Apparently, our family was selected to be on the show among 10,000
applications. It was not a decision that we entered into lightly. We
spent six weeks in prayer and seeking Godly council before we agreed
to be on the show. We, my husband, Pastor Jeff Stonerock and I,
were swapped with Amber & Reggie Finley, atheists, in 2005. Our
show aired in November of 2005 and June of 2006. We have spoken
at several churches since our show aired. Often churches show the
43 minute episode prior to having us speak. The subjects that we
have spoken on have included: Overcoming fear to share the gospel,
Not being Judgmental Christians, Obedience in the face of fear. Being
proactive in "Going into the world to preach the gospel. If you would
like to know more about our experience or would like to contact us
regarding a speaking engagement, we welcome you at www.biblegal.org

Being that Kelly 'Biblegal' Stonerock and her husband decided to ignore the Word of God concerning bringing someone in their home who was not bringing the gospel, her testimony, and his... is shot.

A pastor is to be obedient to God's Holy Word and without reproach. Sadly, after appearing on Wife Swap, they blew that.

Wow, standing you really need to get on Kelly's website. I have been reading it all afternoon, all the lives they have touched, all the doors they have opened, how can you sit there and say because they swapped lives that their testimony doesnt matter? Of course it matters. I firmly believe that the atheist husband's heart was touched a little by Kelly. Sitting there putting you and your family in that Christians only bubble is a dangerous road to tread on. We are to love others as we love ourselves and I think that commandment from Christ outweighs the whole only let Christians into your home (okay thats the military coming out of me with the rank and chain of command thing..lol). I look at the pastor and his wife as taking a chance and look at the lives they touched. Remember the decision wasnt entered into lightly, they took six weeks to pray about it, that alone has to stand for something. I have alot of admiration for Kelly especially standing up to that atheist and helping to show him just a little bit of the light. If I would tell these women I have ministered to you cant come into my home or on my patio because you dont love the Lord I would drive them farther away from the Lord but at least with me opening my heart, I am showing them the love of Christ and maybe just maybe allowing some sunshine into those cold, dark, hearts and no standing, I am not above the Lord, He has been with me every step of the way with these women. I think you are forgetting that God works through people and situations in very mysterious ways. He is using me as His vessel to minister to these women. Believe me, when the opportunity presented itself I was like Lord why me, why when I am hurting , why when I want to lock myself into my home and cry, and the Lord has shown me that I have a gift to give to these women and yeah I have my bad days like today when I got the finalized copy of my divorce papers, yeah I did cry but, it was a done deal it was over. Standing you really need to search your heart and find out where God wants you to serve and please dont judge others for taking a risk with Christ there with them. JMHO.

Their disobedience to God's Word destroys that which they say on the website.

Scripture says that the Believer is not to have anything to do with the infidel (unbelieving).

An atheist is an unbeliever. They disobeyed God's Word that says to come out from among them and be ye separate.

Since it is obvious they still promote Wife Swap with their video of clear disobedience to God's Holy Word, they have not come out from amongst the infidel, but rather are continuing to embrace the infidel.

We are in the world, sw, but not of it. We cannot expect God to receive us if we promote such sinful disobedience as they are.

It is not me judging, it is God's Word that judges them.

He did not tell them to go live in the atheist home, but to come out from amongst them and be separate. Of course, in their six weeks of prayer, they failed to look to God's Word for the answer. That is obvious. Either that, or they looked and ignored the obvious command to not invite them into their home.

The Christian home is to be sacred, devoted to God... bringing one who mocks God into one's home is outright disobedience.

Somehow I knew we would see peoples' position in Christ judged in this thread.

God's Word judges... whether on this thread or not.

2 Corinthians 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
2 Corinthians 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

And now you are passing judgment, dan.

So did you, by making that statement!

tisk tisk. Bottom line is, invite someone over for dinner SFIC. It'll be a good witness!

Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

If we are not to have anything to do with the unbelieving, then we are to preach the gospel to only the saved? But what about "every creature"? What you say is unBiblical.

The Bible has already judged them as being disobedient, dan. I did not judge them, God's Word did.

No thank you. I will obey the Word of God. It commands me not to bring one into my home who does not bring the doctrine of Christ with them.

I will give you this, I completely, honestly, 100% believe that you think that's the only way to interpret that verse, and every other verse you refer to in the course of your proof-texting.

I think we've trailed a little bit in what we were talking about.

So you are taking that verse and applying it to all situations that would happen at your house??

The Holy Spirit inspired the verse that says if they bring not this doctrine, receive them not into your house.

I am sure the Holy Spirit meant exactly that.

The athiest does not bring the doctrine of Christ, he brings his own doctrine with him... that doctrine is "There is no God."

The pastor was wrong to go on that show.
