Would you further your thinking on this point of a separation between the mind and brain?

From the definition that you offered of the mind, in contrast to this post it would seem Alzheimer then would not effect the intellect, feelings, emotions, ....

How then, in your view, does not brain health effect mental health?

Are you in fact stating that when a person is in the midst of a grand-mall seizure they are not intellectually, mentally, emotionally... effected?

I think you just did! I'm really tempted to hit the "report post button" right now. There's nowhere out here to get a decent one of those! However, I could make some. Hrm. Time to get my shopping list ready. Thanks for the idea!

But first, I have to pray the evil out of my dog. :praying:

You did not answer the question. Though you give verses, neither addresses the question asked. A simple yes or no is called for.

I don't think you are able to answer.

Youse can get a nice fresh cannolis right down the street at Viti's Bakery. Really - with or without those little chocolate chips. It'll blow your mind - or brain - depending on the conventional wisdom.

    I love Monk!

This doggie of mine probably has a mild case. (I had one full blown, another rescue from an abusive home) She has her little things. You'd kinda just have to meet her, she's a trip! But there are more full blown cases. I saw one on a dog show that spent hours licking anything shiny and ended up on OCD meds to help her. I found an elephant, and no I'm not kidding, I really found an elephant...oh nevermind. ROFL It already sounds unbelievable even to me, and it really happened! I was driving down the road...see now Fred will be all over this if I tell it I'll find myself being bullied into praying for the elephant's sin and I have enough other stuff going on in my life.

Fred, do you have enough faith to just trust me when I say "please pray for an elephant?"

We go to Schiedelmans (They are NOT Italian) for bagels and rye. No lox, though. Salted cod out the wazoo but no lox. Now I'm hungry for a good pastrami. Think you could get a good pastrami on rye? Ain't happening. You can get a good corned beef but everyone ruins it with Russian dressing and calls it a Reuben.

Back to the pastrami. It made me think of a pastrami I had in Baltimore back in the day. I can almost smell and taste it. Is that in my brain or my mind? I'm getting anxious thinking I could run to the market and get a pound. Now I'm thinking if I do that I will be disappointed because pre-packaged grocery store pastrami is nothing like Jewish deli patrami.

Where is my anxiety? Does it exist? Where does disappointment come from? (or should that be From where does disappointment come?) I get one emotional response to deli pastrami and quite another from pre-packaged? What's that all about. Am I out of my mind or losing my brain?

My horse has OCD as well. He will run in circles in his stall - if the stall was not split in half with a large nylon strap, he'd canter in his stall - in circles over and over and over again. Go in and yell at him and he doesn't hear you. He just keeps going and going and going. Enough that he's permanently injured himself.

I don't believe that is sin.

Interesting that when faced with a simple yes/no answer, this is what's offered. My guess that you weren't able to do so has been confirmed.

You either don't know what you're talking about, or you're a troll.

Come now my brother....you have lived long enough to know that there isnt anything funnier than a big mouthed Christian & nothing more dangerous.... to the innocent who hang on there every word as if they were truly looking out for them.

Just quote the Bible at them & you can get away with anything you have a mind to. LOL :tongue3:

These creeps need to realize that not every man that chews a straw is a greenhorn nor is every women a pushover to the deceit & crap that they pettle as religion daily. Try some love and sympathy next time & perhaps you will get some success. These are both old & tired venues & nobody is listening.

And that the answer to a yes/no question is either yes or no.

The way some folks excel at the nonanswer makes me think they must've graduated from the Bill Clinton/Joel Osteen school of debate.

You been talking to my Wifey? Sounds like something she might say.
