No problem. Now, don't you also preach the parable of the sower and compare it with those who hear the Word preached now, how they react and etc? :)

I understand perfectly what you say. Your position is a denial of the Word of God.

    Here is what Scripture says:
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
--You deny this truth. It does not say that Christ is ruling this earth at this present time, rather that this whole world is in the hands of the wicked one. You deny this truth.

Jesus Christ in his sovereignty has allowed Satan to be the ruler of this sin-sick world.
It really doesn't matter if you confess Christ as Lord or not. He is the Lord and has every right as Lord over you and everyone else. He has the right to squash you like a toadstool even if you have confessed him as Lord. You have no brownie points merited before the Lord.
He is the Lord of all Creation, and you cannot command him to do any thing, whether you confess Him as Lord or not.

But realize this, that as Lord, he has given this world into the hand of Satan, who now rules it with all his wicked glory.

In Christ's Millennial Kingdom Satan will be bound for a thousand years. There will be no influence from Satan whatsoever. But now we, as believers, are commanded to:
    "Resist the devil."
    "Flee from the devil."
Stand against the wiles of the devil."

If Christ were ruling those commands would not be necessary. Satan would not be here. He would be bound.

Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

    Glad you asked....
    Driving now.....more later on
Thanks for demonstrating what I posted.

    Jesus rules my world
Sorry you confess the satan rules your world.
I have been translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light.....Jesus rules and reigns from heaven right now.
Satan was defeated at the cross.....by King Jesus. I and other Christians are living in the Kingdom now as we serve our King.....We are a Holy nation of kings and priest's.
Col 1 is clear we are translated ...into a Kingdom...which you deny.
It is okay....I know you cannot help yourself..
Evidently Satan will not give you permission to do anything else.

It speaks directly to the issue you raised Jon....you suggest scripture demands a literal interpretation.
..so I am asking you....are you sure of this?
Before you answer....take your time and look how God Himself has already used the language
    Read Isa.13......read isa 34
Did these things literally happen then, or did these metaphorical expressions speak of a new government ?
In other words literally Babylon, Idumea were judged ....

    Does He? Let's see.
Here is what the world will look like when Jesus comes to rule it during the true Millennial Kingdom.

Isa 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
    Isa 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Isa 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Isa 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Isa 11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Isa 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Isa 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

He will judge with righteousness on this earth, and not from heaven.
    That does not happen now.

Here is Icon's world where he says Jesus is ruling:

Three truck bombs killed up to 60 people and injured more than 80 in the town of Tell Tamer in Syria's northeastern Al Hasakah province on Thursday, a spokesman for the Syrian Kurdish YPG has told Reuters.
    https://www.rt.com/news/325568-terror-attack-telltamer-syria/

A Riyadh-based “Islamic military alliance” has been formed with a mission to fight terrorism, Saudi Arabian state TV has announced. The coalition consists of 34 countries, including the Gulf States, a number of African countries, Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia and Pakistan.
Countries involved in the coalition aside from Saudi Arabia, include Jordan, the UAE, Pakistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Turkey, Chad, Togo, Tunisia, Djibouti, Senegal, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Gabon, Guinea, the partially-recognized state of Palestine, the Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros, Qatar, Cote d’Ivoire, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Mali, Malaysia, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Yemen
    .
    https://www.rt.com/news/325929-islamic-coalition-terrorism-saudi/

The Islamic State terrorist group released a new video on Wednesday purportedly showing the beheading of a Russian spy at the hands of a Russian jihadi.

In the 8-minute video, a captive identified as Haroun is shown wearing an orange jumpsuit and “confessing” in Russian to be a spy for the FSB, Russia’s security services, according to the SITE intelligence group, NBCreported.

The above describes Icon's world where he thinks Jesus is ruling. Is this how Jesus rules the world as Prince of Peace? Really?

No one is answering Matthew 13 where the kingdom is described by parables and we see these types taking place now.

Also, we have been rescued from the domain of darkness (I suppose where dhk lives according to his words, where Satan reigns?) and transferred into the kingdom of His beloved Son (where we believe we abide, as we do, wherein the Christ of God reigns). This is a present reality according to the text of Colossians 1:13.

Take your head out of the clouds and come back to the earth where reality exists. Yes, we have been rescued out of the domain of darkness. That is why we have have salvation, eternal life, the forgiveness of sins. But we do not dwell in heaven yet, and this sinful world is not our home. It is not our kingdom.

This is just a place where we are strangers and pilgrims where we are passing through on to our real home. We look for the coming of our Lord. After His coming we will enter into heaven, and also into His Kingdom.

Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: (ASV)

    1 Peter 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

This world is not our home. It is a realm that is under the rule of the prince of the power of the air, that is Satan, the god of this world.
Jesus does not rule here. His kingdom is yet to come.
He even taught his disciples to pray:
"Thy Kingdom to come: thy will be done." His kingdom had not come yet.

He told his disciples right before Pentecost that setting up the kingdom was not their business right now. They were to keep; their eyes on being a witness for him. But he didn't deny that the Kingdom would come.

Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Who said we were dwelling in heaven????

It is quite noticeable that you conveniently leave off what the passage actually states, 'and has transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son...'. and replace it with presuppositions and your own words. Let the word speak, there is nothing there about 'heaven' as you say.

So I ask, why do you conflate kingdom of God where true believers dwell with (the place all will dwell fully in their eternal state) 'heaven'?

Matthew 13 also shows that the kingdom does now exist here. The kingdom is already, but not fully.

Oh, but He does rule and here as well. He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He has all authority on heaven and on earth; Matthew 28:18 and because of this we have the word 'therefore' in 19ff. :)

    You don't understand the verse.
Look at both verse 12 and 13 from another translation. Here is Young's literal translation:

Col 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father who did make us meet for the participation of the inheritance of the saints in the light,
Col 1:13 who did rescue us out of the authority of the darkness, and did translate us into the reign of the Son of His love,
--We have this inheritance. We have it in the sense that Israel had the Promised Land. It was promised to them. But they wouldn't actually receive it until they got there. The Father has to make us "meet" or fit or suitable for this inheritance.
He rescued us from the "authority" of the darkness. That is from the clutches of Satan. Satan was defeated at the cross, but he is still the god of this world. We have been rescued from his clutches. Through faith we are over-comers. He did translate us into the reign of the Son of His love. This is spiritual not physical. He has not taken us out of this world. This is made plain in his great High Priestly prayer of John 17 where he said plainly that he would not take his disciples out of this world.
Satan is still the god of this world. He has left us in a world ruled by Satan to be a witness to those influenced by him.

Sometimes it looks like you're making progress DHK but you don't quite get it. You just quoted Colossians 1 from Young's literal translation and clearly it says we been translated into the reign of His Son that's the kingdom.
That means Jesus is king and we are in his kingdom

Again all authority is Christ's not Satan's as the Word shows.

You're still conflating heaven with kingdom. Colossians 1:13 is aorist tense...already taken place just as we've also been rescued from domain of darkness. It states we are no longer in Satan's domain but under Christ's reign, in His kingdom. Yet previously you said He does not rule nor reign.

You have tunnel vision. One word can mean different things depending on the context. Let me quote William MacDonald for you:

The kingdom of Christ is seen in Scripture in several different aspects. When He came to the earth the first time, He offered a literal kingdom to the nation of Israel. The Jews wanted deliverance from the Roman oppressor, but they did not want to repent of their sins. Christ could only reign over a people who were in proper spiritual relationship to Him. When that was made clear to them, they rejected their King and crucified Him. Since then, the Lord Jesus has gone back to heaven and we now have the kingdom in mystery form (Matt. 13). This means that the kingdom does not appear in visible form. The King is absent. But all who accept the Lord Jesus Christ during this present age acknowledge Him as their rightful Ruler, and thus they are subjects of His kingdom. In a coming day, the Lord Jesus will come back to earth, set up His kingdom with Jerusalem as capital, and reign for one thousand years. At the end of that time, Christ will put down all enemies under His feet and then deliver up the kingdom to God the Father. That will inaugurate the eternal kingdom, which will continue throughout eternity.

Kingdom is used in three different senses.
No matter which way you look at you still cannot deny the literal reign of Christ in a coming Millennial reign of Christ on this earth.

All authority is available to the obedient believer as he goes to carry out the great commission. Keep things in their context.
Satan claimed that same authority in Matthew 4, And he was the god of this world and still is. He could rightly offer Christ the kingdoms of this world. They are his to give.

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Sounds to me that some people are peddling some Roman Catholic Kingdom-Now Heresy (also belongs to the J.W. and other cults). Your beloved Calvin was heavily influenced by Augustine and the RCC lies. It is obvious.

It is sad to me how many people want to believe that Satan is in control. God has always had dominion over the earth. Satan is still under God's control as we see in Job. Jesus showed that He had dominion over the earth by calming the storm, He showed His dominion over the demons by casting them out. He showed he had dominion over sickness by healing people and He showed he had dominion over death by rising again.
And before anyone brings up the temptation I do not consider Satan who is the father of lies a reliable source.
He may have been given control of the world system, but he is in no way the one who has dominion over the world. That belongs to God and God alone.
