So let me get this straight, Jesus said all who labor and are heavy laden, are to come to Him. So who are those who labor? Those who believe in a works salvation that is those who like the pharisee

I know the truth, His name is Christ. I know via the word He has preserved He will do everything for me He has promised via them.

There is a difference between someone following Christ in true obedience and a Pharisee type that is doing works to be seen of men. One produces salvation, the other will not.

Reminds me distinctly of John 9:41 and it's saddening.

The context of Matthew 11:25ff first speaks of those to whom Christ wills to reveal Himself, and it is not every person who ever lived. He then invites these unto Himself, and they are burdened with sin to which the Son then sets them free to serve Him. Most take Matthew 11:28 out of its context instead of doing 2 Timothy 2:15. :)

There is no doctrine taught by Christ that does not apply to those of us living today. At least none that I can think of.

If the word is full of errors, how can you put any confidence in them? How do you know Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John did not erroneously write what they did?

    Hi Brother Revmwc,

"The dead neither labor nor are they heavy laden, they slumber unconsciously in their graves; and all men are dead in sin, and as destitute of spiritual vitality until they are quickened by the Spirit, as the body of Lazarus was of natural life before Jesus raised him from the grave. But as soon as a sinner is quickened by the Holy Ghost he becomes a laborer, and is burdened with a heavy weight of guilt, and such are called to Jesus and find rest to their souls in bearing his yoke, which is easy, and his burden, which is light." Bob,

Your response doesn't even begin to make sense nor deal with what I stated. But then again you say the Scriptures are full of errors, that God led you on 'crazy detours' to give you the truth personally. That my friend is all lies, deception and utter heresy. All of it. :)

And he accuses us of wearing mystical pink goggles?!?!? That reeks of mysticism. Any revelation outside God's holy writ isn't biblical :(

    Isaiah 1:19
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land

    Isaiah 42:24
Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the Lord, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

There's the heart of the matter. You have put your faith in the idea that a piece of scripture is perfect. Christ made this question very clear. The Truth can only come to those who seek it. It can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit.

I'd hate to presume that the idea of a Holy Spirit is odd to you.

This verse must be really confusing to you.

    John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew youthings to come.

He denies the validity of Scripture, then attempts to quote what Christ said, in the Scriptures as authoritative?! The dudes a troll and in utter heresy.

Jesus told His disciples "You study the scripture diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very scriptures that testify about me,[John 5:39] We have God's word and the Spirit to lead us and guide us into all truths.

How do you know this is not chocked full of error? Jesus could have said 'SIKE!!!' and John erroneously forgot to write it.

I didn't say the truth of salvation is not in scripture.
