Call them the border counties. But then, my perception of geography is colored by the fact I'm a Californian. Denver is East for me.

    (a) I don't support the murder of unborn children (b) you're "this is all" says it all: "this is all" is actually quite a bit - you can't really claim to be pro-life AND support the sort of policies that FTW highlights; 'pro-birth' maybe

Presumably you would extend your outrage to the government spending your money on your behalf on law enforcement, defence, roads, etc? Or is it just the poor that you don't like it being spent on?

Matt, I am sure that you want cheap labor. So how can low-paid workers support your imperial welfare state?

How much money did the Russian terrorist attack in Salisbury cost the UK?

The terrorist investigation is ongoing so the books aren't closed. Not sure what point you're trying to make

On the Russian terror attack, it proves the criminality of Putin if there was any doubt. Heard a report that many were contaminated and so I am thinking that the costs are very high. I suspect the chemical used in Salisbury is what has been used in Cuba against the Ladies in White, the leader of whom was murdered by a small scratch or injection in a public street on a Sunday after mass.

So it’s all perception. So because I live in the east, quite naturally I’m a Wall Street yuppie from an Ivy League school and rolling in loot. Look, in my neighborhood nobody has money... the old are dying off and the young are struggling. Those who can keep a roof over their heads are lucky. Economic pain is everywhere. Bush killed us, Obama made it worse ... and now we are finding this guy has passed a bill that supports Democrats furthering BOs agenda... more boondoggle.

Schumer said, “It’s a funny thing. In a certain sense, we’re able to accomplish more in the minority than we were when we had the presidency or even were in the majority.” If that statement doesn’t frost you, this obvious gloating, I don’t know what will.

What a pity.... The UK is certainly on the front lines in the war against terror. On the good side, I read that a British sniper shot a Taliban leader in the head at the distance of one mile in the dark as the terrorist was entering a safe house. That British soldier must be in a category of one in that kind of expertise.

My friend, a Christian world would not require the government to assist the poor, it would see that as an opportunity to display the Love of Christ to the least. Unfortunately, Christian charity does not have enough adherents to make that possible. We Christians all need to work on that... otherwise we have to rely on the government . So if you want to ask a probing question, ask who American Christians give our allegiance to.... either the government or our God? Do we want government in our lives? Welfare is nothing but government controlling the lives of a portion of our American citizenry... ie Marxism... so if we as followers of Christ allow the Marxists in, shame on us.

Giving an unending supply of money to the poor with no plan to help them become self sufficient is not pro life its pro government. Life has nothing to do with what the extreme far left wants. Anyone who supports abortion for any reason at all or supports a party whose platform supports abortion does in fact support the slaughter of unborn children.

So let's take them one by one, and I will try to be consistent here.

    1. Law enforcement. The constitution does not authorize unlimited Federal law enforcement over the whole nation, that is something that should be left to the individual states. A case could be made concerning national security issues (things concerning national defense) , but like everything else the Feds have gone into local jurisdictions where they should not be.

    2. Defense. This is a legitimate Federal power according to the Constitution, I have absolute no problem with spending money here.

    3. Roads. The only constitutional authorization for roads are for postal roads and military roads, all other roads should be left to private enterprise or the individual states to build.

I have no problem with helping the poor via Public Health hospitals that deal with communicable diseases. These institutions have existed from the early years of our nation and serve the common good. What we have today is quite different than that.

You mean like shooting up a republican congressional baseball team? It got covered over as quickly as possible, so people could forget about the dim shooter. BTW, they usually turn out to be dims, & I think they should all voluntarily turn in their arms. You know, be that shining example.

He closed down car dealerships that were republican owned. What does a dealership have to do with the auto bailout?! They get government money? I don’t think so.

So let me get this straight, a nut with a rifle shoots up a baseball team and therefore it was a leftwing Democrat conspiracy? Did it say that on the investigation report?

Why do you support murdering innocent non-combatants in meaningless wars like Afghanistan and Iraq and taking away much needed food and medical care from the needy? Read MAT 25.

Yes. Let's require proof on both sides. I've repeatedly stated my position on abortion and yet these liars keep revcersing it.

Prove that I support that. Otherwise you are guilty of being a false witness.
