The Alabama Professor McDermott commented already: "Jesus did not challenge their assumption that one day the kingdom would be restored to physical Israel. He simply said the Father had set the date, and they did not yet need to know it." We know from Scripture that we are in the last days but we do not know how long Jesus will tarry before He returns, the Blessed Hope.

I’m quite sure you don’t know much about it, either. “IDF shoots women and children” seems a bit one sided.

Well, yes, shooting unarmed protesters is a bit one-sided. We tried that in Derry in the 1970s; it didn't end too well...

Hamas said 50 of 62 killed were Hamas terrorists operatives. Gazans plan to burn 10,000 tires on Friday. They must be hoping that the smoke doesn't settle on them. Gazans have no future--they need to move away but the Arabs hold them prisoner in a densely populated pit.

It would be helpful if you post the link to such information - it's from the Jewish Chronicle.

That seems to be targeted killing of people on a "death list" and gives the lie to Hamas sending "human shields" rather than leading by example.

Such accurate targeted killing shows that the maiming of a doctor, & killing his assistant were likely to be deliberate targeting.

Answered below. Spurgeon doesn't give specific Scripture.

In Matthew 24, Mark 13 & Luke 21, Jesus is prophesying the AD 70 destruction, when all the tribes certainly mourned, while the believing Jews fled to safety.
They looked on the pierced on at Calvary - John 19:37 - and mourned at Pentecost - Acts 2:37. Read onto Zec. 13:1 and the fountain was opened as 3,000 repented, were baptised and forgiven.

    That is the NH&NE.

Jesus had apparently omitted the answer to their question during the previous 40 days speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Once the Holy Spirit was poured on them, to teach them they never mentioned a restored kingdom.

    Read on in Acts 3.
22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
The Jews who refused to hear that Prophet were NOT promised restoration. Only those who believe, including Gentiles will be blessed in the restoration through Abraham's seed, Jesus:
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Assuming you are not, you can learn more here: Bloody Sunday (1972) - Wikipedia

It’s not the same thing, Matt.

    It does not compare.

Hamas themselves make your words here meaningless. They want death to all Israelis.

You snip the most binary person I have ever talked to.

I’m sorry you hate people who defend themselves. SNIP

If Palestine laid down their arms there would be peace tomorrow. If Israel laid down their arms there would be no Israel tomorrow. Cliche, true. But absolutely true. People have a right to defend their borders.

Stop snip and admit at least some of the “protesters” were armed ?

Explain how in what God-forsaken (quite literally) universe the IDF shooting dead children on Palestinian soil (they were about a mile inside the border is 'defending themselves'?!!

So you’re continuing to fool yourself. None of the protester were armed ?

And save your personal attack whining. You can dish it out.

No more than the Derry Young Hooligans were 'armed'. Stones against automatic weapons in both cases.
