He became human with a body so that He could be our compassionate high priest.

    Hebrews 4
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Are you SURE? Were you THERE? Otherwise, you're guessing. I go by what was written by those who WERE there.

    Jhn 4:24

I'm going by what GOD HIMSELF said to Moses, not by what someone is GUESSING He said. No stronger evidence than God's own words!

And, you're forgetting that GOD CAN DO ANYTHING. If He chooses to have a body at any time, He CAN. If he chooses to be invisible at any time, He CAN. And also remember He earlier appeared to Moses in a burning bush.

God mentioned His own face, hand, & back to Moses, so how can anyone who worships Him deny He had those parts, at least in that meeting with Moses.?

Why does the Holy Spirit need to be a dove?

God is Spirit, He does not need a body. Jesus has a body made for him, as a human.

It was necessary to redeem us.

    LOL

Question: When God was bodily with Moses, as you say, was He absent from Heaven?

    No.

To say yes would likely mean that you believe the heavens to be a physical place somewhere a long way off.

The LORD inhabits the heavens, both within our atmosphere and beyond. He is not bound by time and space constraints.

God Incarnate (Jesus), before His resurrection body (also human), was bound by time and space.

Please. The ? was meant for roby.

But, let me rephrase. While God was bodily with Moses, as you say, was there anywhere He was not?

What was the nature of His body? If we know that, we will have our answer.

I realize this is just a personal attack that you know is untrue, but I find Genesis 1 absolutely credible and I believe it completely. I just disagree with your interpretation.

At some point, I hope you have learned that your opinions/interpretations of scripture are not the same thing as scripture.

Dude. I know the answer to the question (not that you gave the answer.) My question is designed to get roby to think.

Because he CHOSE to look like a dove for that occasion.

Again, God can do anything He chooses to do.

We don't know. He didn't say.. But He can be anywhere/everywhere at once. Remember, Jesus said that whenever/wherever two or more are gathered in His name, He will be among them, & every Sunday there are many thousands of such gatherings.

The theme of this thread is "the image of God." He said, "Let US create man in OUR image, after OUR likeness."

God mentioned His face, hands, & back to Moses. Therefore, the argument of anyone saying God did NOT have them is with HIM, not I. I BELIEVE GOD when He mentions those body parts to Moses. And I believe that when He chooses to have a body, our bodies are in the image of His chosen body, as He created man in His own image.

God, of course, can choose to appear as anything he chooses. He first appeared to Moses as a fire in a bush. So, please don't sell GOD short! HE CAN DO ANYTHING! There are things He WON'T do, but there's nothing He CAN'T do!

God is supernatural. Perhaps He meant to create us in His form, which may be different, so that we can deal with the planet He put us on.

This is why many of us look different, live in different regions of the world; some cold, some hot, many in-between. That's how we are.
