You cannot logically say that the world is both 6000 years old and deep time is true also. That is why young people chose evolution over Christianity.

 

Many choose evolutionism due to the brainwashing done upon them while attending public schools, and especially public colleges and Universities!

 

You are going off the rails. I never said Genesis is not true. I said if God created a mature Universe, YEC should not act all stupid when science dates it to the age that corresponds to that maturity.
If a YEC and a scientist were around the day after Adam was created, the scientist would say "This man is 20 years old." The yec would tell the scientist "You fool, he is only one day old."

This is undoubtedly true. There can be intense pressure to succumb or be made to look very foolish and even risk a lower grade.

And arguing YEC is a lost cause in such cases. Appearance of age is a terrible argument to make with an unbeliever, as it essentially denies reality. It is as unrealistic as arguing appearance of design.

 

But Consider: If God fashioned Adam & Eve in much less time than normally required to reach adult form, modern medicine would just as likely conclude they were brand new adults, ones without any evidence of having actually lived through every human stage.

Given the Tree of Life, this may even be extrapolated to their fall.

American education is among the worst in the industrialized world. Big city schools are horrible. I live near a suburban high school where over half the girls are pregnant and the school mascot is a dead rabbit. They used government ID to copy their names whenever they have to write them. They had a clock tower at the school entrance but they had to redo it and change it to digital.

As stupid as saying Adam was created within one day? According to YEC, Adam was created within one day, thus a brand new adult, not a human born and raised to adulthood. I thought you said you were a YEC. Perhaps you have a different version?

Cut them in half and count the rings, of course. Seriously, twenty years of development and activity will inevitably result in obvious signs of wear and tear. Brand new would exhibit no scuffs, no scratches, no dents, no dings, no callouses, no scars, no wear and tear, no aging effects inside or out.
