So, is that really your idea of following the golden rule?

God gave us emotion. And I was offended by that post and saw it as hateful. So no, I will not post like a robotic person.

I can rebuke you for acting hateful. That isn't a sin. I wouldn't want a person to post that hate filled post to me, so yes I am following the golden rule.

From what I have consistently seen from your generation, your avatar is appropriate.

Some people might find that offensive. To me, it's not just a little funny, it’s brazenly so. Specifically where, how, in what way do you imagine I expressed hatred? How can you think you are rebuking someone for something when you haven’t even bothered to give explanation but only expressed emotion?

the part where you said no one cared was a false and hateful statement for I do care what people think of others regardless of skin color

I’m not even sure just what you mean by your own statement, but the point of mine was obviously that to people here, your race has no bearing on you being accepted by them, that is, you would still be welcomed by them regardless of inbred heritage. If you believe that is expressing hatred, then someone professional would have to help.

BTW, I imagine people here would probably even welcome Cretans, though the clearest NT example is to take the Gospel to them. Titus was still in Crete, and Paul had been there when he wrote:

One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.” This saying is true. (Titus 1:12- 13a)

if that is what you meant by saying that I apologize for firing up on you , I misread it.

    am I forgiven?

Yes, I would. But, like JonC, I don't think this is a place for everybody. I would invite/recommend based on the specific individual, regardless of what color he or she might be.

I would. I see no racism at all, here. I'm shocked you're saying this.

This post, however, might be a little racist or at least race baiting, as you're prejudging the reaction of a black Christian.

I would be embarrassed to show them this thread, however. Black Americans really are sick of groveling patronizing whites.

I honestly have no idea what that reply had to do with what I was discussing.

I cringe. They believe black americans are helpless without them. So many are telling them to be quiet, but they won't listen.

You'll get a kick out of this one. Interviews of white attendees of a white privilege conference. Yes, there is such thing. Afterward, they interview African Americans. Priceless.

Perhaps I was misinterpreting one of yours? Why would US Christians be the example for others? I assumed a lot of it had to do with the influence due to being on the forefront of modern missions, but perhaps other reasons govern. Here are the operative phrases I was focusing on:

…(whom we otherwise admire for many good reasons)…

“…And you guys are our example……”

    Only you Western Christians…”
