It’s a pointless sacrifice without sin, and if everyone is doing exactly what God wants them to do, there’s no sin. Unless God is schizophrenic.

You ignore God forbidding people to sin. And them wanting to sin. And God wanting them to sin for his glory.

How can you know God if not for sin?

You might not be born again if God must force you under threat of death to act good.

Spared them from what?? Penalty for what??? For doing what God wanted them to do? Let’s consider the Lord’s Prayer: Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. If God’s will is already being done on earth, and always has been, why does Jesus teach us to pray this way?

God doesn’t want anyone to sin—If He needs sin to be fully glorified, then He’s dependent on sin—God can’t exist without sin in your theology. How sad!

If you can somehow relate your train of thought to the OP, I’d love to hear it, but otherwise, please take your thoughts to another thread.

He determines the final result He wants to achieve, but doesn’t make people sin. Thanks for the comment!

God depends on sin to reveal his mercy, righteousness, justice, sovereignty, love, and more, How would you view yourself or him if not for sin?

God wanted Ahab to sin so he sent false prophets to deceive him. Why? Because it led to his death already determined.

Agreed! God is not responsible for every evil thought and deed. But He created all “things” in heaven and earth. He created people who can have their own thoughts, and can act out in evil or in righteousness. If in evil, they need to repent of the deeds they performed.

What do you do with Jer 19:4-5 The people of Judah stopped worshiping me and made this valley into a place of worship for Baal and other gods that have never helped them or their ancestors or their kings. And they have committed murder here, burning their young, innocent children as sacrifices to Baal. I have never even thought of telling you to do that.?

You have a verse that says God wanted him to SIN? Or just to go to battle? Going to battle is not a sin, in and of itself.

War is sin. Especially in the OT. Do you ever pray "lead me not into temptation?" If not, why?
