I hold to the gospel of Christ revealed in God's Word.
Did you choose to trust in Christ Jesus Ken?
Nope. If Augustine, or Calvin, or any person states something that agrees with God's Word, then I agree with them on that. I judge what Augustine, or Calvin, or you, or anyone else says, based on the Bible, not the other way around.
Yes. God made me willing to do.
Psalm 110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of Thy power.
Of course it was your choice. God made you do it.
That is not what your posts would indicate Ken.
You don’t understand the meaning behind words much, do you?And I thank Him for doing so.
We fundamentally disagree about that.
Ken that is not what Pas 110:3 is speaking of.
If man is forced to believe, as you say you were, he does not believe at all
it is the forcing power that believes for him.
If he is forced to obey, it is the forcing power that obeys; and not the man.
You don’t understand the meaning behind words much, do you?
Of course we do, I hold to the word of God and you hold to a man-made philosophy.
This smells of false humility for the sake of the discussion.I will tell you quite forthrightly, Ben, that I am a stupid person, I am an idiot.
I am thankful that God saved me based on Christ having met all of the conditions for my salvation, for I certainly could not have met not one condition if laid on me to perform by my wretched, vile, flesh.
Core Beliefs of Sovereign Grace Baptists
This smells of false humility for the sake of the discussion.
"This signifies the set time of love and life to every particular soul at conversion; which is a day for light, and a day of power; when the exceeding greatness of the power of God is put forth in the regeneration of them: and the people that were given to Christ by his Father, in the covenant of grace, and who, while in a state of nature, are rebellious and unwilling, are made willing to be saved by Christ, and him only."
- excerpt from John Gill's Bible commentary on Psalm 110:3
"God the Father promiseth that this people shall be a willing people; a people of willingness, as it might be rendered; volunteers, listing under Christ's banner. When Jesus is set up as an ensign to the nations, the Gentiles shall seek to it, and his rest shall be glorious, Isaiah 11:10. And the prophet introduceth Christ, by the spirit of prophecy as looking amazed at the accession of his people unto him, Isaiah 49:20. Thirdly, God's promise is, that all these blessings shall take place in the day of Christ's power. The sovereignty of grace, and the influence of his Spirit, which accompanieth his word, shall make it effectual; so that it shall not return void, but like the rain and the snow, which cometh down from heaven, shall give gracious influences; Isaiah 55:10-11.

Ken you view of God made them willing is not supported by the text.
